I've stayed at the Rideau a number of times. And I keep coming back for a reason! It's in a perfect location, the prices are good and the staff is super friendly! It's a very basic hotel right in the heart of the boardwalk with a really nice pool. Highly Recommended!

Under new ownership. The hotel is being renovated. The owner is amazing, customer service could not be better. Perfect location. Will stay here again.

Christina was fantastic with everything. We had some noisy neighbors who kept knocking in the middle of the night, but she apologized profusely and assured us it would be taken care of. We will definitely be staying there again!

Room 120 is loud; directly over the boardwalk restaurant/club and it smelled of cigarettes. We did not sleep; club music was going until 2AM. Request a different room. Other than that, the room was as expected for the price and the staff at checkin and checkout were friendly.

It’s all about location, was right there at the beginning of the boardwalk. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The rooms were very clean and spacious. I had the perfect view. Of the ocean, the boardwalk. And the sunrise.

I used to go to OC every year growing up and this was my first time back in 18 years. Always liked staying on the boardwalk because of the conveniences. This establishment is older but was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The owner/manager was very pleasant and friendly as was the entire staff I interacted with.

Older hotel. Liked how easy it is to get to the board walk. Staff was the most friendly hotel staff I have delt with. The room on the other hand was not nice, had a weird odor, there was someone’s food in the fridge, just didn’t feel clean at all. There was sand all over the floor when we got there. But overall ok stay

Shower pressure was horrible and water was scolding hot. Sink was spraying water to the side. Room was hot, air conditioner was set to auto and could not be changed. Couldn't sleep cause Restaurant/club under hotel played music throughout half the night.

It was very convenient for my kids and I to be close to the boardwalk. We were able to walk easily to the boardwalk and get things to eat and drink. We enjoyed being able to view the beautiful beach front and watch the other activities on the boardwalk right from our hotel balcony. The room is convenient for a two to three day stay. The pool was enjoyable as well. The staff members were friendly and helpful.

Proximity to the beach was great, a one block walk. The room was clean. the accomidations were outdated. The walls are paper thin, people speaking in normal tones can be heard.

We stayed for a short weekend (2 night stay). Pros: convenient to boardwalk and beach; overall clean room, comfortable bed, clean pool. Cons: bathrooms were very old. Ceiling was peeling off and hanging, toilet seat was coming off, very loud music until 3 am both nights we were there. Lots of smokers sitting outside their rooms smoking so it was not possible for us as non-smokers to sit on our balcony. We were only there for 2 nights so it was acceptable but would not want to stay an entire week here. For the price we expected more.

I liked the location of the hotel but our family all had black feet from walking on the floor in our room. The staff was friendly and kind, but the floors in the rooms definitely needed a good scrubbing.

Very disappointed in this property and will never stay here again. Check in is at 4 and when we got there at 4 our room was still not ready. We had to wait another 30 minutes until we were able to get into our room and weren't offered any kind of compensation for the inconvenience. Then once we got to the room it was very clear the floor wasnt vacuumed or mopped at all! The floor was covered in sand and dirt and under the bed hasn't been cleaned in a LONG time. The bathroom was dirty and missing ceiling panels which made it extremely hot in the bathroom and the shower had absolutely no water pressure at all. For a room that cost over $400 we were extremely disappointed and next time will pay the extra $100 to stay at a better hotel.

Pictures for booking looks good When you get there everything is old except the elevator Rooms need to be upgraded not old style from from the 70s, 3 valve showers and the shower head goes on sleep mode pretty much not water coming from there Bad 5 times

Proximity to beach was great. Noise from bar nearby was terrible from ocean view room. Like being in a nightclub till 2am. Killed a roach one morning. Wore my shoes 24/7 because floor was dirty. Bird poop on balcony. Limited amenities. No hair dryer, no in room coffee. Toiletries super cheap, in dispenser like a public restroom. Pool was fine and they let us check in early. Way overpriced for what is was!!!

It was not satisfactory. We booked on hotels.com and booked oceanfront view room but was given a corner room with no view. Mattresses are terrible and spring ones which don’t let you sleep and feel comfortable. There were spiders/bugs in the bathroom. Not worth of paying more than 100 bucks. I paid $280 for this. Only good thing about this is the beach.
