Staff was friendly and kind. Grounds was clean and beautiful. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, ackee and salt fish yum😋. Views of the sea was just breathtaking.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. If you are looking for a modern hotel, I would not recommend this property. If you are looking for a centrally-located property with beautiful views, island charm, and a convenient location right in the center of town this is the property for you. We enjoyed the daily breakfast and opted for the Jamaican options every morning and the staff was pleasant overall.

The property did not have a microwave available for visitors, which is inconvenient in the 21st century. Parking is an issue when there are functions being held on property. Some employees require customer service training to deal with visitors effectively.

The noise level is just too high. Impeded our sleep. In some cases it went on all night. The music was not soothing. It was always loud and dance hall type. Will not be too happy to return

I got married at the Hibiscus 19 years ago and have stayed there as a family several times. Overall great experience. Friendly staff, great food and good location. The lodge is a little worn in places but it is clean.

The property is very beautiful. One of nature's best! The rooms are very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Mr. Toney the manager, is very friendly and helpful. The food is very delicious and well prepared. Its really a dream vacation spot and home away from home!

The garden behind the rooms is beautiful, filled with lush plants, beautiful flowers and colorful birds. The views from the lodge are magnificent. We had a room with a balcony view of the ocean—breath taking! Very quaint . . . comfortable, well kept and clean.

Yes,it can have street noise but that is Jamaica. This is a charming old school hotel that is a great value. My 4th stay. I have stayed in the Ritz in Paris, the Gritti Palace in Venice, and the Hibiscus Lodge is not that but a great place at a fair price. I will happily return

My stay at Hibiscus was an overall pleasant experience. The property is overlooking the water which should not be mistaken for an actual beach. It’s more of a rocky coastal hotel with the ease to do snorkeling. The hotel looks a little dated but they make up for it with the location, food and ocean view. Interaction with the front desk staff showed that they should be a little more helpful. Luckily I met a local at the hotel that helped me sort out transportation after front desk showed little initiative. The mix of local and international cuisine offered at the Almond Tree Restaurant made the experience even better. I tried almost everything on the breakfast menu. They need to improve on the Spanish omelette. It wasn’t appetizing. The bammy and Johnny cakes were tasty and sufficient with the ackee. Breakfast was satisfying. The green plantain sandwiches were delicious and highly recommended if you consume meat and plantain. Cocktails were mixed/ blended to perfection. They’re having some work done so hopefully the place gets an facelift which modernizes it bit. Overall I’d rate them four out of five stars.

The room was cozy and the tv didn’t have any working channels. That just encouraged us to go out and see the city and I had an amazing time. The breakfast with the fish and bammy was AMAZING!

First I must commend the receptionist, they were very attentive and polite. The room we got was excellent, the view was magnificent, we made a request for our room and everything was in place and being delivered as expected. The staff were very nice, and the complimentary breakfast was wonderful. I must commend the chef, the food was excellent. Overall everything about Hibiscus Lodge is of quality. Money and time well spent. I highly recommend and I'll definitely be back.

Property was NOT on the beach or doesn't seem to have access, but it is located across from a night club that's open until about 3 or 4am blasting loud music all morning. The TV didn't work. No phone in the room. Overall disappointing would not ever stay again.

The overall property was good. It is abit outdated. The shower was pitching water and the lock on the door to the patio in the room was sticking. The location though is ideal. Breakfast was really good with a good variety. The views are amazing and the staff is friendly.

Excellent hotel, service was superb. My visit at hotel included a prearranged wedding services for my daughter. We had many guest from USA and Jamaica and they all were impressed with the beautiful wedding the hotel setup. The hotel desk supervisor was very kind, helpful and proactive at organizing and organized top people to organize wedding with colorful decorations and excellent food and music. My family will make this our place to go in future yearly.

The resort was real Nice!! The staff was friendly & the Resort was very clean. The rooms were updated & way better than i could have imagined.The beach, hotel pool & Hot tub were right outside my private balcony. The resort Food was okay No complaints. I would stay here again.

First time staying and we loved every minute of it here. Quaint and a pretty spot right by the water. Love the breakfast, lunch/dinner at their Almond restaurant. Staff amazing. Room with balcony was lovely! Family friendly and felt very safe. Solo travelers friendly. Mahogany beach is 10-15mit walk! This beach has delicious food, clear shallow water, & excursion boats. However, I think Hisbiscus Lodge’s beach(?) is the best for snorkeling lovers. We dived in every chance we got. Soooooo many fish and creatures to explore especially on the rocky wall side of it!! They should really advertise this point. We really didn’t need to go anywhere else for snorkeling though we enjoyed the Mahogany beach/Dunns river fall excursion boat from it. *when you dive, the lodge side of the wall has wired fence around it with thousands of fish living around there. Just watch out for one or two lion fish that lives there too. It has polka dot fins that you can see peaking behind that fence. They won’t attack unless you provoke them. We just stayed little away from those spots but otherwise we lovvvvvvvvved diving in here every single day. We did not need to go on a snorkeling boat where we saw like three fishes at the beach where Dunn’s river fall is. We were told there are gift shops and all in walkable distance but didn’t check them out. I suggest you come in from MBJ airport as that is the closest one and excursions/pickups happen in Montigo Bay/ocho rios. We will definitely come back here.

My stay was very nice . The room was very clean and spacious. The staff were so hospitable. The ladies that worked the front desk made sure that I got everything I needed. The servers, bartender, manager, security and chef were some of the nicest people I ever met. The location is very great, you have difficulty Markets and restaurants walking distance from the resort. The resort was very peaceful and calm. I am glad I chose this resort over the bigger ones . I will definitely stay again when I come back !

Love the property and it's location. It's a small quaint resort with a pool and access to the ocean has a super great chef and all the staff. Are friemily conveniently located in Ocho's Rio. Affordable and a great place to relax. This is place you will want to return to again and again.

Cleanliness is very important to me in a hotel. Hibiscus met and exceeded my standards. As far as the staff, everyone was friendly, professional and accommodating. My only complaint is that I wasn't told that "all inclusive" only includes breakfast. Lunch and dinner has to be purchased separately. Fortunately, there are plenty of affordable restaurant options in the area. Overall, our stay was wonderful. Nothing beats the view from room 10.

Tony The owner is a wonderful man , always personally attentive ,Resort with gardens excellent on hill top overlooking clear blue ocean, see stingray fish, prices are excellent for the room plus hot gourmet breakfast included, Resturant has great food with best prices in town , nearby Misty Resturant by some one else was rip off at double the price. There is A colorful parrot and many pigeons and birds who sing in the morning.I will come back to Hebiscus over and over and will not stay at any other resort. It is 5 star in my estimation for half the price of big brand names. Thanks. Dr.Shah

Overall our stay was good. Only con was the thermostat was stuck on a certain reading. Consequently, the room was super cold without a blanket on the bed, only a fitted sheet.

I enjoyed the private beach area/ its was amazing after the second day i didn't remember what day of the week it was. loved the service of the staff and a five star to Nasda who was polite, thoughtful and funny. i will definitely visit again
