This was a great hotel for a short getaway- we live in San Jose and wanted an escape to the beach. We parked our car Saturday morning and never left until Sunday afternoon. Great food at the restaurant, relaxing pool with lots of loungers, attentive service, and sunset at the beach. The perfect weekend!

Really amazing natural beach setting. Not a lot of development around the hotel, just a few houses, which gives this location its charm. The beach is beautiful to look at and spend time on, but more suitable for surfers than swimmers. Be careful if you swim, the waves can be very strong at times. there are palm trees and hills around the beach and they are incredible. You can see for miles in each direction. You may see wild parrots flying in groups and the setting is just serene. If you are a surfer, you will love this beach. Our rooms were clean and the hot water was always available. The wifi worked most of the time in the room. Occassionally, I would go to the lobby and the connection was much faster there. This hotel offers a free, full Costa Rican breakfast which was very tasty. The restaurant is pretty good too with nice juices, salads, pasta and typical bar food. The staff service is responsive if you ask them for anything. Pool was clean and well-maintained as was the rest of the property for the most part. It's not a 5-star resort, but it can be a little peace of paradise if you enjoy this type of location.

We loved the hotel location: right on the beach, not far from restaurants/bars, great sunset, good pina coladas made by Alejandro, attentive staff. Shower water pressure was great!

The location of the hotel was great. It within few steps to the beach. The rooms were spacious enough but the bathroom was very small. The bathroom door was such that it was difficult to move around. The breakfast was fine, basically same menu daily. One of the things that bothered me the most is the condition of coffee cups and plastic water/juice cups. They were never properly cleaned. The cups smelled like they were just rinsed not really cleaned with soap. We had rented a car so moving around the town and hotel was not an issue. But, if you don't have a car, it may get annoying calling an Uber or taxi. The hotel is very far from the main town. Overall, our stay was fine, comfortable except for few little things.

It doesn’t get any better than having breakfast across from the ocean. Simple rooms, same breakfast everyday. Service was excellent! From the restaurant to the front desk to the people helping with the tv and cleaning, everyone was super nice and welcoming!

We really enjoyed the easy access to the beach and more secluded, so we didn’t have to deal with a large crowd. The downside is transportation is not readily available. We had to wait 30-60 minutes for an Uber, so will need to plan ahead.

Had to leave on day earlier... a downpour occured on the night of 28th/29th and there were about 10 leaks on the roof, floor was drenched....

I discovered this hotel last year on a trip to Jaco. Its right on the beautiful beach of Playa Hermosa. Rooms are super clean. Pool is nice. Restaurant food is good. But the staff is absolutely great. Super kind and helpful. Its my go to place when i want to visit the Jaco area.

Small but nice place to stay. Since it is located away from the main road it is quiet and feels "private". On the other hand, food is expensive, too little and ugly but since it is apart from everything you need to take the car to eat somewhere else.

The property needs a makeover for sure. However, there is something about it that is magical. It makes you feel relaxed just to sit outside. The service is friendly, although they could make more money if they did pool service. It was very slow in the restaurant and we still had to go order. All in all, you get what you pay for. The view was incredible though and we were pleased.

We booked this as a last minute stay on our way to Manuel Antonio. While you cannot really swim at the beach, it is beautiful and you can walk it. You can also watch the surfers, which is fun. The restaurant was good and the service was great. We did not use the pool. The room was cool and quiet.

The people were friendly. The pool was warm and towels were provided. The beach is across the small street. It is not near stores or dining, which means the beach is private and isolated. the dining area of the hotel provides all that you need. Two scarlet macaws live in the trees across from the hotel - a lovely sight.

This was a nice little hotel. I loved that it had a restaurant on site. The free morning breakfast was wonderful! The staff was very efficient and super friendly. It’s just steps from the ocean, with an amazing view. The hotel itself is a little bit dated, BUT, very clean and the beds are very comfortable. A great place for families. A plus if you like to surf. I did feel a little isolated and can understand why people rent a car. Overall, I would go back to this little gem.

The hotel is on hermosa beach a few minutes from Jaco. We loved the quiet area with beautiful beach right accross the street. I cannot say enough about the staff at the hotel by day 2 they knew us by name. They were amazing. We had a wonderful time!

The hotel is right infront of the beach. Just cross the street and youre there. The staff was friendly, easy check in, and the amenities were good. The only draw back, youre away from the center of Jaco

Property is not necessary what you see in the pictures, but are good. Breakfast is really good and complete, staff is good people that are always available to help, rooms are medium but with everything you need. Beds are small for medium or large couples and soft. Beach is in front the of the property but consider that is not secure to swim there, you will need to go other beaches near (5-15minutes).

The Management is very unresponsive and careless about the customer requests. The area , dining room is unpleasant and dirty . Street cats are entering into dining area all the time. There are bugs , roaches in facilities, food smell consistantly comes in to rooms . Customer service is advising you to drink tap water when you ask for potable water. We stay less nights and still being charged. Send emails to Manager , she careless to even have courtesy to respond. It was horrible and i am sorry for expedia to list this hotel and have customers like us very disappointed. This hotel ruined our stay in Costa Rica.

The staff is amazing. The food is amazing. We had moved to an Airbnb with our sisters and the Airbnb was horrible, so we packed up our sisters and came back for the remainder of our trip. We love this place!

Our stay was very relaxing! The staff was super friendly. As two young women traveling alone, we were a little wary but we felt safe at every point. The rooms were nice with a decent view. Only thing missing was a mini fridge to be able to store leftovers in. Great location. A little more secluded but not too secluded that you’re far from everything.

Wonderful location next to beach and isolated from other hotels. Well away from the seedy Jaco. Perfect place to relax. Sleeping with the sound of the ocean memorable. Food was excellent as was the staff. Would highly recommend!
