What a joy this hotel was after our journey along the Ring road. Nestled in a quiet spot next to the historic church; rests this lovely and serene hotel. The hotel reminds me of a modern nordic cabin, with beautifully designed rooms, modern baths, beds with luxe bedding and fabulous showers and amenities; plus an onsite restaurant with a delicious local menu. Book room 215, it was our favorite stay in Iceland.

What a gem! Great location off the beaten path with plenty of atmosphere and free parking. Our 2nd story room had great views to the volcano. Plenty of walkable paths nearby. Great restaurant with a decent breakfast.

We stayed at Hotel Búðir for one night and loved our experience. Our room was cozy, clean, luxurious, and very comfortable. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly, courteous, and welcoming.
The food was exceptional! They graciously accommodated our group of 13 for an early dinner, and the service was incredibly efficient and impressive. From the quality and presentation of the food to the attentive service, everything was truly five-star.
We will definitely stay at Hotel Búðir again on our next visit to Iceland!
