Despite being in a hectic, frenetic part of town, Refugio del Jaguar was like a sanctuary. Everything was calm bit welcoming. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay here.

The desk staff are SO friendly and helpful, they really went above and beyond when my friend experienced a stressful issue in the streets of Medellin to ensure that we were comfortable, that the matter was taken care of and that we enjoyed the rest of our stay. The cooked breakfast every morning was delicious, the rooms are clean, cool and comfortable, the hotel itself is spacious and verdant where we got chatting to lots of other travellers during our stay. Cheaper than a hostel dormitory bed - What amazing value!!
None of the rooms have windows, but this is made very clear from the listing, and it didn’t impact our stay at all - in fact it does mean you can sleep right through if you wish! The huge, green hang out spaces are much nicer for chilling and planning your next move anyway.

The staff here are amazing! So friendly, so helpful, always available. Honestly, they are the best part of this place. Followed quickly by the amazing breakfast! Love it. The location is also fabulous - right in the middle of things. The space is spotless, very clean!
As their description says, the rooms don't have windows to the outside. This impacts air flow and humidity levels more in some rooms than others. If you are sensitive to those things you may want to request an upstairs room and request a fan.
