Its a descent hotel. Only area of improvement needed is the AC unit. It very loud and needs maintenance before the hot summer.

Good: nice furnishings, great location, reasonable price (given location), mostly responsive staff, great housekeeping staff, comfy beds, clean room. Very pleasant place to stay. Questionable: First, the poop. The entrance to the hotel smells like raw sewage, Then on day 2 our toilet clogged. In desperation I looked in the lobby for public restrooms--all toilets there (men's & women's both) were also nastily clogged. We spoke to the desk & went out. It still wasn't fixed when we came back in the evening. We spoke to four different people, and to their credit eventually a manager came by and assured us it would get fixed. It was quite gross, but it didn't affect our non-bathroom-related enjoyment of the stay (excellent ventilation!). They got it taken care of, and were very nice about it. Second, parking. We paid for "Jimmy 500" parking (one of the hotel's partnerships), including "24/7 in and out service." Except that when I went to get stuff from the car and maybe take it out on night two, at least 20 cars blocked it in. The entire underground garage was jammed with cars; all the spots, and double/triple-parking in all the corridors. We could not possibly have left, no matter what. I suspect someone was running a side hustle selling parking for Canadiens games or something. Luckily, I didn't desperately need my car right then; I took an uber. Overall, a pleasant stay, with a few hiccups.

hotel was great clean good tv hockey games ect close to movie theatre restaurants great area of montreal my only beef was that reception told me i wasetn entitled to breakfeast because i had book thru one of the on line sites and the room i got was near the ice machine so my first impression of best western wasent the best but its clean has its share of partyers as its in a party area but its clean quiet if you run the fan as you want to stay in a party area of montreal you have to put up with some noise but i enjoyed my three nights and the closeness to two metro subway lines /reatauratns bars /montreals underground is a block away at peel street and you can walk the underground tunnels all the way to the via rail station a four star experience all around for me

I didn't know what to expect from previous reviews but I was extremely pleased with my stay for the week. Very close to Centre Bell and Metro. Bathroom is tiny but for a single traveler, the room and bathroom size are just fine.

My son said that he had only one warm shower. The other days the shower was cold. He reported it to Management.

The stay was generally pleasant. The service was excellent and the room was also very clean, in addition to the hotel being extremely well located. The only caveat was the heater in the room, which appeared to be a little old and made some noise during the night. Overall, I thought it was great value for money and would stay again if I returned to Montreal.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful and nice. When we asked for directions to the Embassy from staff, we were given very helpful information, which is about a 3 mins walk from the hotel. The hotel doesn't have parking, but there is also a public parking garage about 3 mins walk which was also a recommendation from the front desk as it was close to the hotel.

The room smells very bad. I think the smell comes through the AC from the birds poop

Easy walk to the Bell Centre and metro stops. Close to main shopping area. Windows are thin so you can hear all the outside noise, but it is downtown Montreal so it is expected. Easy check in and check out process. Good place to stay for the price

Great cheap stay, everything seems to be well maintained and modernized. Only a couple of issues to report, first being that there wasn't any hand soap available, which led us to use the body was as an alternative, which was also empty! Secondly, we found a very dirty towel which had hairs on it, which was hanging as if it were clean. Yucky!

The bed and pillows were so comfortable. Walking distance to anywhere.

They gave us a king bed upgrade!! Very nice staff, very nice rooms, delicious breakfast. We will definitely come back.

The premise is a nice niche in downtown Montreal however the room we stayed in was great needs some repairs with the floor.

Very pleasant room right in the heart of downtown Montréal. Great nightlife, shopping, access to the Metro, and just a couple minute walk to the Bell Center.

Decent staff doing their job with the minimal smile. Clean room. Experience would be ok if it weren't of the very noisy air conditioning/heater with people talking very loud on the street. I can expect car noise, it's somehow like white noise but the loud guy speaking at 4am for at least 4h45 was keeping me awake until I passed out (he woke me up). I understand it's not the fault of the hotel by itself but if you expect a quiet night reconsider or ask a room not on the street side. Also the room was quite cramped, worst is your legs pressed against the shower window when sitting on the toilet seat. The location is really convenient but I will not go back if I have the choice. I value my sleep more than the rest of the positive aspects.

I couldn't sleep as there was a very loud music coming from the room beside around 10:30 to 12 pm , called service desk twice to complain but nothing happened. I'm not satisfied with my stay as I was hoping to get a good night sleep .

Overall it was fine. Although the fire sirens each night got to be a bit much. The hotel is older and not in perfect shape but it was clean and safe and we enjoyed our stay

The rooms were small and a bit old but the bed was comfortable. Certainly reminded me of a European hotel as far as the size goes. I had a pleasant stay!

I spent several nights.I left my room,sunday morning,around 10,20 - 10,30.When I came back,in the evening,room and bathroom haven't been cleaned and towels not changed.
