The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the noise at night, every night we could hear people talking loudly in the street at all hours of the night, 2am, 3am etc

Staff was not helpful ,no facility for late check out. Few items was missing from room service order. Room I booked looks different in pictures.

I felt that care was taken about every little detail about the hotel. Our room was magnificent; airy and spacious yet comfortable.
The level of service was top-rank too, we felt very looked after.
The spa was lovely too, the thermal waters are very therapeutic.

Great location, great spa. The only slight issue was the bar is a bit plain and overpriced even for a hotel, also had 6 GBP tip added to bill without our explicit knowledge so make sure you read the bill before you leave the bar.

We cannot fault this hotel after our 2 night city break. Every inch of the hotel is spotlessly clean and maintained to a very high standard . All the staff we encountered were all polite, friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble as they genuinely wanted you to enjoy your stay. Our room was an executive room which was an upgrade to the deluxe one we had originally booked however the hotel had called a couple of days before arrrival to offer to upgrade for a nominal fee so we thought why not. Again all spotlessly clean and well looked after even though the buildings are listed. The spa facilities and gym are both well equipped with the spa being available exclusively to hotel guests at certain times of the day. Whilst we did not done at the brasserie we did have a very nice cocktail in the bar. Whole hearted recommend this as a hotel right in the middle of bath, close to all the main landmarks.

A great stay would highly recommend it, the hotel was amazing. The only small issue I would note was the room was a little on the small side, it was also very hot but in fairness this was probably a way to fix it but I couldn’t work it out. Would definitely stay here again.

If you need a pure unwind, relaxing short break, this is the place to stay! A complete luxury 5* experience throughout my stay, everyone was so welcoming and respectful. I think I have found my go to hotel now every time I visit and stay in Bath! A

The property is unbelievably fantastic. The spa was what you expect. Very nice fitness center. The staff was friendly and helpful. our sleeping room was extremely comfortable.
The only thing that I could say was if you stay on the first floor, the outside noise in the morning from all the deliveries is extremely loud.
That basically is the only negative information.

An excellent stay for 2 nights in Bath for our anniversary. Staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The spa was brilliant, we had a bath spa room so could access at any time and was good to have time that was less busy. Great central location. We would definitely reccomend!!

Really nice hotel for thermal waters. Spa reception was super helpful and very welcoming, different pools allow warm or hot water and although one of the saunas was out of order for the 2 day duration we were there, the infrared sauna was working (except for one infrared panel out of about 6). The steam room worked incredibly well and the fresh towels with essential oils and fresh waters with cucumber were a delight to have at hand. The pool area is kept very clean and there are plenty of towels and great facilities in the changing rooms.
We had to remind one of the room cleaners to give us clean spoons, cups and paper toasters the second day, but they were incredibly prompt to provide these and overall service was good. One expects very high quality service at a 5* hotel and the Gainsborough certainly fulfilled it.

My second time visiting and again a very enjoyable stay. The hotel is lovely and in a convenient location for the town and train station. Staff were very helpful during our stay and the spa area is a real highlight. Only minor disappointment vs previous stay was limited opening times for the spa that were complementary. As a result during these times it was very busy. Overall though I’d recommend if you’re visiting Bath then to stay here.

The hotel room is huge, and every detail is perfect. From the watch to the wine, everything is impeccable.
Moreover, the hotel's location is close to the center of Bath, making it incredibly convenient for finding food and going shopping.
The staff is also extremely polite, and the handsome young man from concierge, in particular, is exceptionally nice to us. He attentiveness made my partner and me feel like VIPs.
Overall, it was a perfect experience, and I highly recommend everyone to try the same experience at The Gainsborough Bath Spa Hotel!

Dirty floor, dark cold room although heater was provided. Had to ask 3 times for pillows to be changed. Really not happy. Over priced hotel

Spa was amazing. Very clean hotel. Bed super soft with really soft pillows. Friendly staff. Right in the centre of shopping area but down a quiet road. You won’t be disappointed.

The hotel provides a very personalised service. The reception and concierge would always address my by my surname which made me feel special. I can’t fault the stay. I would’ve given 5* but I wished the morning spa hours operated from 7am.

Really lovely, most welcoming and friendly staff. Felt comfortable needing gluten free as coeliac. Lovely afternoon tea and wonderful breakfast gorgeous room and attention to detail. So sad we had to leave early due to a family crisis

Booked a room upgrade prior to my stay after the email from the hotel offering this option.. this was not fulfilled..
instead the room we had had a few issues with it.. certain plug points not working, the fridge not working, the heated towel rail not working etc. this was all on top of the extremely loud music coming from outside of the Hotel - I called down to explain and was told there was nothing that could be done as they were sold out - a really poor service considering the amount of money spent on the stay

I love this hotel. It's beautiful, the location is perfect and team is very friendly. I do think there are a few subtle changes that could happen to improve the experience.
1) For hotel guests we can only use the spa for a few hours morning and evening. For a room costing £350 a night this feels a bit cheeky
2) I noticed a few cost saving measures such as the hot chocolate at the spa being removed and only for spa-day guests. Again this is a soft change but an important one.
I do like this hotel and will be returning but some attention on the softer benefits is crucial for me.

The hotels was very nice and had no issue in that respect, but the hotel advertises that it has parking but fails to tell you that it’s limited so forced to find last minute parking which cost us an additional £40 on top of what isn’t a cheap hotel to stay at! And to further the frustration upon arrival we were then told that our room wasn’t ready even after turning up a little over an hour after our check in time and still wasn’t ready for an additional hour after that!
