Overall we had a great time at Jewel Grande. We were there for spring break and had the best weather all week. Everyone is friendly, kind, & very helpful. We stayed at building "C" while our friends stayed at building "B" with the bigger rooms for larger size family. The only downside I recall was the wait time at one of their restaurants our first night there with reservations at 8, seated after 8:30 and food was extremely slow, kids were falling asleep on the dinner table. We also experienced power issues on & off during our last 2 days, TV's did not work for 2 days at building C. Room was great, we were on the 11th floor, beautiful large balcony and views. Very clean each day. Spacious room with 2 double beds and it was perfect for our family of 4.

The Jewel is a jewel! The outside grounds are very well designed and maintained. We’ve stayed at many all-inclusive resorts, and we were impressed with the resort’s layout and accommodating services. We can confidently recommend this resort for other travelers.

The room that I did online was not the room we had.. also we didn’t even get a microwave in the room. I did a king size bed.. we got 2 queen size bed when we get there. Overall it was amazing tho.

Over all my wife and I loved it. The complaint we have is the loud music from 10pm to midnight from the DJ Clubhouse. Hopefully they will lower the volume next time.

The best part is the beach area. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast and drinks as we sat on the beach and near pool. The evening entertainment shows were good. The room we had, oceanside view, was nice. The service was uneven. The staff was at times unhelpful and seemed to just recite canned lines when asked about anything. We had this experience at the front desk and information desk. Their website is not kept current and usually some of the restaurants are closed. None of the staff knew anything. The spa is overpriced and there are a lot of hidden charges.

We were there the first week of January 2024. The buildings are OK, not overly stylish, starting with the lobby. Our room in C tower faced the water and was very nice. The grounds have lovely palm trees. The Caribbean sea was nice and warm. Most of the staff was hardworking and friendly. There are a few things I would have appreciated knowing before I booked: At this time of year, much of the beach and most of the two pool areas are in the shadow of the four tall buildings that make up the resort complex. If you like sitting in shade, you'll love it but if you want to work on a tan, not so great. The small beach area is quite small and very shallow (thigh deep at deepest). A lot of it has large seaweed patches just beneath the surface, making the swimmable area even smaller. The water is clear and warm, so this all might be great if you have small children who want to splash around, but if you have dreams of leisurely swimming freestyle, this is not the place for you. Even though the resort appears to have probably 500 rooms, the five restaurants only have capacity of about 15 tables each, which is crazy. There is only an open buffet for breakfast and lunch. For dinner, you must make reservations (even though the staff will tell you it's not necessary!) or you will be shut out and have to wait for a table like you're back home at Applebee's. Given what we paid for two rooms, I would not recommend Jewel Grande. Certainly not a good value.

I would have expected free transportation to and from the airport and we had to pay $140 round trip for 7 people. We also had someone threaten us that was a patron who had property at the resort. He felt entitled and I thought it was wrong. There were also many things broken in our room. Staff was amazing though.

The staff is incredible. They are attentive, kind, and respectful. The actual place itself is getting old and rundown. In the span of five days, we lost power for hours three times. We also lost water for showers and drinking water multiple times. The coffee shop in Building 2 had water pouring down the wall and buckets to catch it. The elevators never worked but we were on the 2nd floor so it didn't matter. The whole place needs an entire makeover, electric haulover and new plumbing. Our vacation was almost ruined because of it. The entertainment was subpar. I would have expected more shows or fun activities. For such a big resort, the things to do was limited. The only good food is the breakfast buffet. The rest of the food is okay. Definitely not worth the price of the resort. We will probably go back to Jamaica, but will definitely not stay here.

The people were amazing and so nice! The food was delicious. The rooms were so spacious. Although no one can predict the weather(windy and rainy), the pools were too cold to swim and the hot tubs were not hot. Other than that it was a wonderful and relaxing vacation.

The property is nice. It's huge! It must be quite expensive to maintain. The facilities were clean and in good condition. Our bathroom shower was either unfinished, or they decided not to put a shower door in. In either case, water got all over the floor when we showered. we had no complaints about the building or facilities. Jewel Grand is a nice resort. It's a great value for the money, and the staff works hard to keep it running.

We had our 5D 4N best stay at Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort. Outstanding service from all staff at, Front Desk, housekeeping, all restaurants, beach crews, and safety officers; everyone is very friendly, courteous and helpful. Superb hospitality and love this ALL INVLUSIVE option offered. My room is very clean and l considered that a luxury stay! We recommend this place!

I like ocean I liked that the people were nice. It was really fun, but the elevater broke and we asked for bed sheets and towels many times but it took them like 1 day to give us them and we had to remind them to give us it. Overall Jewel Grande is not bad but still has some issues.

This hotel is a solid 4 out of 5. The rooms, dining areas and beach are all a little worn but the staff are attentive and friendly. Bouchon was the best restaurant (make a rez!) and the beach cabanas are worth renting.

Our room was robbed on the middle of the night, it was caught on camera and the resort did nothing for us after our belongings were stolen. It was the worst experience in my life. I will never go back.

The staff was pleasant and some food was tasteful. I'm a foodie so I know what good food tastes like. Resort was quiet in the area where they needed to be. Too quiet in the areas of which entertainment should be held. I paid for the oceanview suite. Really nice view but wasn't happy about the mildew and bird poop from our living room balcony. The lounge mats on our bedroom balcony were dirty. The room was spacious but the upkeep was disappointing. Things were falling apart (towel rack, bottom of the couch & bottom of one of the sitting chairs), not throughly cleaned (bathroom walls & tub). Had to call down numerous times for things that were supposed to be provided from housekeeping. Maintenance guy continued to enter guests room without knocking or announcing himself first. Had to report it. He came in while I was undressed to fix something we were not aware was broken. The towel rack fell while housekeeping was cleaning and we were out all day. So he was supposed to fix it but no one said anything to us and there was no message left to make us aware of the problem. The front desk was hospitable and nice. Very accommodating to the needs of the guests. However, I highly recommend for the prices they charge or Expedia charge, the upkeep of the rooms should be better than what we seen.

The property is beautiful but doesn’t have much of a beach. The activities were hit or miss, however, the nightly shows were good. Everything shuts down around 10 so if you want a party atmosphere, this is not the location for you. Staff, with the exception of Opal and Jonique at registration, were friendly and helpful.

The food and beach was the better part of this resort, although the beach could use more regular maintenance. Please invest in new beach chairs. All of them are worn and cant relax comfortably on them. Pool water was too cold to enjoy in November. The one public jacuzzi on the property never worked. The resort is fairly small with very few activities to partake in.

Property is big and pretty clean. Need a lot of upgrades. My room bathroom sink was backed up and no mirrors in the room. Food is terrible. Hospitality was excellent. Overall i give three and half stars.
