Steve's a great host, very friendly and laid back. The room was basic but functional and perfect for a weekend of hiking and gigs up in Cumbria. The breakfasts were superb and started the day off right. Broadband is plenty quick enough to watch video and signal was strong.
The shower was hot and had good pressure and the bed comfy.
I may be being too modern, but I'd rather a bit more space on the desk than a TV nowadays - we're in the generation of everyone travelling with a laptop or tablet and I'd rather stream from a million sources than watch a patchy digital TV signal that isn't the best due to how many hills are in the area.

A beautiful quaint property near the centre of Carlisle. Fantastic hosts,lovely breakfast,immaculate inside and out of the building. Clean tidy rooms with everything you need.

Brooklyn house is a fantastic place to stay, the owners are friendly, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, the breakfast is really tasty and part of the price you pay, if your up in Carlisle, stay at Brooklyn house, the only place we will stay..
