Mikkel & Doro have created much more than a place to stay—they offer a genuine experience of hospitality. You feel like you’re visiting a family that welcomes you into their home and shares what makes their life meaningful: sustainable food, nature, the sauna, calmness, and thoughtful conversations. If you arrive with curiosity and openness, your stay can become more than a holiday; it can be a small personal reset.
Nothing. I embraced the experience as an opportunity for reflection and transformation, so everything felt coherent and intentional. That said, this place is not designed to maximize comfort and convenience in the conventional sense. The house has simple rules—such as taking your shoes off, no smoking, respecting quiet hours, and disconnecting from the internet overnight—that reflect the hosts’ philosophy. If you’re looking only for a scenic room, these may feel restrictive. If you’re looking for genuine hospitality and a different way of living, they are part of what makes the experience special.

The Care and Awareness of the Owners. The Sauna / Spa. That was so good. The Food as well.
The Internet Connection. But we used it for a little detox.
