Nestled in Dollar Point, this attractive house for $620 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Welcome to Whispering Pines Lodge! Enjoy the best of the Highlands neighborhood with this spacious, luxurious, and family friendly rental; a perfect 4 bedroom/3.5 bathroom mountain escape! Enter the home between both floors through the staircase foyer. The main floor is appointed with a living room with high vaulted ceilings accented with a canoe lighting fixture, wood fireplace, entertainment center, breakfast bar, open kitchen with granite countertops, and separate dining space with a table made from wooden bleachers of the Cal Memorial Stadium circa 1927. Large windows and a sliding glass door to the front of the home bring the outside in. The top floor is rounded out with a 1/2 bath and the primary bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a gas fireplace and a separate sliding glass door to a separate private deck area. On the lower floor, entertaining is easy and fun in the grand media room with access to the large back deck, gas BBQ grill (summers only), outdoor seating area and hot tub overlooking the Tahoe National forest. This floor provides the majority of the sleeping space and offers (3) bedrooms that surround the great room. Bedroom #1 is furnished with a king bed, Bedroom #2 has a full size bunk bed to sleep 4, along with a sofa and desk. These bedrooms share an elegantly appointed bathroom. Bedroom #3 offers private access from the outside deck and has a queen bed and en-suite bathroom (must go about 4 steps outside to access it). This home is equipped with state of the art electronics including smart tvs and a blue ray dvd player in the media room. Whispering Pines Lodge provides direct backyard access to TXC's cross country skiing trails in the winter and hiking/biking/dog walking trails in the summer. No need to pack up the car with skis/bikes/dogs and find a place to play….. you can go directly from the house! Nearby beach access is also available at the Skylandia State Park and Beach approximately 1.5 miles away. The proximity to North Tahoe High School opens up additional facilities such as tennis courts and the track & field during the summer months. Tahoe City is just under 4 miles from the house and offers a plethora of restaurants, shopping stores, 2 grocery stores, a movie theater and fitness centers. During the summer you can attend the free Concerts on Commons Beach (Sunday afternoons) and during the winter months you will have easy access to the north Tahoe ski resorts. We loved our stay at Whispering Pines & decided best place to stay during the blizzard that we were there for. We especially loved the media room with the games and theater like ambiance. Would definitely stay there again!

Was a beautiful place with a lot of amenities. Very thought out place. We enjoyed the games a lot. The location is also great. Perfect for our family trip. Was also super happy we could bring our pup! Communication was also great and easy. Would stay here again!

Nicely decorated, open backyard, fun spaces for both kids and adults. Great location with open park like backyard. Close to town. Newer decks and balcony with hot tub. No garage access, which for this who wish to park inside and avoid any risk of bear exploration and protect your car for excessive pollen - this may be something to be aware of. It has a smaller kitchen but has all plates, bowls and utensils needed. Limited bath towels - may require you to do a load of wash. Indoor: narrow stairs up to kitchen - may not recommend for those who are challenged with climbing up and down stairs. Cable TV accessibility will require you to have an account- Apple TV etc. Our family enjoyed our stay. Thanks! Tahoe is such a spectacular place.

Beautiful home that is fully stocked. There is a great entertainment center downstairs that we barely got to use but wish we had more time for. The kitchen, living room, and dining area was great for a large group of 10 people. The added hottub was a nice bonus too! FYI, the shower in the back room is literally inside the room. It's okay to use if you're okay with water getting everywhere. Otherwise, would recommend using one of the other showers!

Home checked all of the boxes for our two families (both with two kids age 4-8), especially with respect to the kitchen where there wasn't a single item that wasn't provided for (utencils, plates, glasses, condiments, etc.) and likewise having two TV/living rooms on separate floors - amazing for having adult time separate from kids' movie/show watching. Only complaint would be lack of mud room as the entry area is tight, as well as the 4th bedroom being separate from the main home (queen bed would help so adults could utilize). But other than that we were extremely pleased with our stay and hope to do so again!

Beautiful home with plenty of space for our two families. Kids loved the downstairs game room and Scrabble board. The outside queen room was a little tricky with the ice/snow, but the thoughtful property manager dropped off a space heater to us and that helped considerably. Liked the location and proximity to Tahoe City. We would definitely consider staying here again. Thank you!
