Nice enough, very good value for a private room with a fan. Breakfast was nice, staff very kind and friendly. Decent shared bathroom, clean.
Could be a little more comfortable/trendy but for the price cant complain

Easy walking distance to plenty of restaurants, shared kitchen and fridges to keep food and cook
First night electricity was out for hours
Next morning water was out for the entire morning, so no shower or use of toilet, sinks etc
According to one of the staff these are regular occurrences.
I live in CR, and understand these things happen, but when you run a business (and a kitchen!) the very least would be to have some water bottles saved up, or a water tank for emergency use, as many of us do

Location is within a safe neighborhood a few blocks off the Main Street. It’s an alright hostel, no highlights that went above and beyond.
There was no hot water, and asking the staff at night they didn’t seem to care. In the morning, the guy working was surprised and said they would go fix it but reading the reviews this clearly has been a longer running problem. I was there when it was colder and had a jacket so a cold shower was a no-go.
Breakfast was underwhelming.
The vibe seems like this was a cool hostel at one point but now it’s lost quite a bit of that charm. The staff in the morning was arguing with each other, and while not the hostel’s fault, two girls were also arguing during breakfast making the whole morning feel off. I had a really smelly dorm mate, and they didn’t have any rooms available so I just left to a different hostel down the road which was in much better condition
