The staff were very helpful and informative about the local environs. Masha was the bomb. Almost everything was perfect. As I was in recovery from hip surgery I did have a difficult time getting into the pool and was worried about falling, and luckily had two people help me out. Shorter steps would have been good. Also, ni signage in the bathtub made me fill the tub with shower water as I didn't realize there was a plug. Might put a sign there. Otherwise all great.

Overall fun hip stay, beds not comfortable and biggest drawback is that the ac unit is in a window where there is no window covering so there was light into the room all night. Wish we had more time here to use pool etc. Friendly staff. Thank you would come back again.

It was within walking distance of downtown. Parking cost was reasonable. Our plane didn’t leave until 9pm. We checked out of our room but was able to sit by the pool until time to leave for the airport. We really appreciated that service.

Great service at the reception desk, ease of access to rooms, and the hotel is centrally located to allow us to walk everywhere - we loved it!!

There was no recycling visible in the hotel. And no coffee makers in the room, so one had to purchase coffee from a food truck outside, using throw-away cups. The hotel posted a sign that they were spraying rooms with pesticides while we were there. I don't know if that's common in Hawaii, but a bit concerning since there wasn't any information about what pesticides were being used. There are nontoxic pesticides, like boric acid. The front desk was very pleasant about allowing us to request that our room not be sprayed.
The free yoga and bikes were a nice touch.

Old property, $50 fee for resort includes parking and aminity (lousy event ) , check in is so slow, room is small .. bed is lousy ready for garbage; very uncomfortable.. I was itchy.. stayed for 3 nights and couldn’t sleep well the air conditioning is so noisy.. that’s ready to go too. With all these fees I should just stayed by another hotel that air conditioning is not helping. Parking is bad small spaces and gets filled fast .. if you return late no more parking

It has a beautiful entryway to the front desk and a very convenient and beautiful comfortable swimming pool area , all the staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby was open air and beautiful, very centrally located close to beaches several restaurants. Several bars anything you need is in walking distance. If you’re a first time traveler to Kona this is a nice place to stay there is something in that area for everybody.

Great location, just a quick few minutes walk to the main street and beach yet far enough away to feel separated from the noise and crowds. Recently renovated and was very nice. The staff was extremely friendly.

The first morning that we woke up at the hotel, we went out to get coffee first thing and already found a nasty note from “security”. It was a “violation notice”. The parking lot is an L shape. Where the parking lot turns, there is a triangular outline, the tires were on the white line of the triangle and we were “cited” for being in “two parking spaces”. Are you freaking kidding me? First thing in the morning on the first morning. Really? There is no other place for any other car to park, why would you leave a nasty note like this? There’s no way to do better, there’s no option. The parking spaces are so small that the passenger needs to be let out before the driver actually pull the car into a parking space.
I went to ask at the Front Desk how I should’ve done better, the security guy walked behind the attendant while I was speaking to the Front Desk people, but she wouldn’t connect me with him, she told me he was “on a break”. He heard the conversation, his head turned, he ran to the smoking area.
What a great first impression.
Really? You’re so powerful as security that you’re in charge of keeping the parking lot safe by making sure no one touches a white line? I recommend a personnel change in the “security department”.
We were there for six nights in total, that guy gave me the stink eye Every time I saw him, and trust me he walked around all day and all night.
The only other bad part about the experience was the extreme, extreme, extreme traffic noise.

They did not have my reservation for the 2 rooms I reserved literally 4 months prior. They only had one. Thankfully they were able to find an additional room to accommodate my group. The process should not have taken this long and the reservation should have been confirmed.

Very friendly staff. Room with a balcony view. Very close to the beach and plenty of places to shop at nearby. In close vicinity to everything in Kona. Would definitely stay here again. Hotel pool was very nice and has a local coffee food stand on site

Staff was friendly at check in and took care of everything for us. The room was clean and nice. The hotel was easy to find and only 15 minutes from the airport, which was great after long flights.

Newly renovated room with cheap upgrades. A poor hotel given a face lift and charging high rates. this room was worth half what they charge. Didn’t have a bad stay just wasn’t what I thought I was paying for.

This property looks for every chance to scam you out of your money. They kept the $250 for incidentals for over a week. I called to question why it took so long, and was told that the woman in charge of billing was not available, but would call me back. No one ever called me back from the hotel. They also billed separately, a resort tax/fee. And we had to move our car when we arrived to a lot across the street, even though there were spaces available. We were told the spaces were for guests already checked in? We had a reservation as well. There was a long, dark hair on one of the pillows and a bathroom towel looked used. Liquor bottles were on the counter for our enjoyment. I was airsick, so we did not have drinks, but it seems difficult to quantify how much a guest consumed. Again, they are oh so quick to take the $250 off your credit card, and snail slow to put it back on. Scam.

We enjoyed our stay at Pacific 19 Kona! The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance from several great restaurants and ocean views. I loved their poolside yoga class which is offered every morning. It’s such a great way to start the day!
I do think it’s important to note that there is a $20 parking fee per vehicle per day. This is separate from the hotel rates and amenities fee. I’ve never been charged to park at a hotel that I have paid to stay at before so I was a little surprised.

This place is fantastic. It’s a renovation, but has a wonderful aesthetic. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The staff were amazing! I wish we could have stayed longer.

I don't think it's worth the high penny to stay here.
The pool is right off the parking lot practically, so everyone walking by or checking in can watch you relax? A little weird.
The pool was closed more than half the time. It was raining...but it didn't seem necessary to close it?
We were not made aware of what the hotel had to offer. Only as we were checking out did we see another hotel service agent offer a different guest access to a bike or chairs for the beach.
The room was small and lacked anything special. You paid for everything additionally.
I will say, they did keep the lobby very clean which was nice.
The location of the hotel is the best part about it. It's very central to pretty much everything you'd want in Kona (within walking distance).
We wouldn't stay here again, though. It was too expensive for practically nothing.

Check-in was fine - seemingly cool hotel. But then you notice how grimey it really is when you look around starting from parking lot down the rooms. I was placed on first floor facing a dumpster and other trash that was discarded by the hotel. Cockroaches in room upon entrance, called someone to come get rid of them. They handled it - but I kept my bag zipped and snack in the fridge to avoid and unwanted visitors.
Wall unit a/c makes does not allow curtains to close so you're faced with the sun as soon as it rises. No relief from this, you just kind of have to deal with it. I am an early riser anyhow but not something I had wanted on vacation.
All in all - great location, lovely idea. Just tired and in need of some cleaning all around. There are other places to stay in the same area for the same price.

Everything about the hotel was fine, except I don’t like the focus on in-room sales of beverages and snacks. I’ve had issues with being charged for things I did not buy—not from this hotel—so just don’t like when hotels do that.

Modern property located in a very convenient location in Kona. You can easily walk to many places. We only stayed here for one night and it worked well for us. Perhaps, a longer stay would not have worked for us, since we have two small children and the rooms were a modest size, but not big enough for us to sit down. They also have many products lying around for purchase so it took up a lot of space. I liked the coffee truck out front. The pool looked nice, but we didn't get to swim in it. Staff were friendly. I did find it hard to locate at night. The sign is not very prominent and we only had a downloaded version of google maps.

The hotel was very clean and the staff very accommodating. The beds were comfortable and the location was also great. The only thing that would have make the stay exceptional is daily room service with fresh towels as we had a big party.

This a great hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We were able to check in early and got an extra hour of late checkout. Rooms have been updated, only thing that I didn’t realize is there is no TV. Great location, you can walk to restaurants and shops. Fridge was nice, would be nice to have a microwave.

Unfortunately our stay was full of issues. Room wasn’t available until after 4pm, very ancient key card reader wasn’t working in the door, coupled with the door not shutting all the way. Overall, you can hear literally everything.
