Not what I was expecting for the money is not a 3 star, if I didn’t know, it look like that, I wouldn’t stay there ,The hotel is in the middle of nowhere dogs chasing you at night , The beach view is very nice. Breakfast was okay chicken is a bit bony, day room cleaning service is very slow. I went away and come back and there still hasn’t clean the room so have to wait around till they clean the room.

when we showed up it was not the best impression, there is a road to access the property that is nice but gated off so you have to go way around down a pretty beat up road to access the property (from what we heard the property owners could open up the gate that would allow acces from the good road but just dont??) it is an older hotel that has had an effort to update, overall its decent, pretty good beach, nice views (there is au natural/nude beach across the way, not close enought to see details, but its there) overall it was decent, would probably stay again

Floor of washroom gets wet always when using shower. Very uncomfortable/nasty feeling. Does not offer more than 2 towels. Breakfast was great.

Perfect relaxing beachfront property. All rooms face the ocean. Nice beachfront bar. Food choices plentiful, but found they were out of many menu items throughout our 4 day stay. Also food service was at times very, very slow. All staff were friendly and helpful. Since it’s beachfront, it would have been nice to have beach towels in rooms. Great WiFi through the entire property. Loved having the free use of paddle boards.

This was my 2nd but last visit, the property needs a cleansing. The water pressure is weak or leaks. There are small ants in/on the chest or drawers and the kettle. One of the servers from the bar ASKS for tips, which really turned me off.

The staff was so awesome, but on Saturday morning we had a whole day of excursions, but did not have any water to shower, so we checked out.

The property is well hidden behind an unsavory ghetto area, all you can do is lock your doors and pray for the best driving under this bridge as bystanders will run up to your car trying to sell you drugs. The hotel itself was very old and ratty. I wanted nothing more than to turn around and run but I couldn't get a refund, so we stayed. We had a good view of the ocean within our room. There was nothing to do at this hotel so we hung out on the patio of room. The bed did not come with a blanket, sheets were stained. Food was reasonably priced, free breakfast was nice and the staff was awesome! But I would never stay again!

The hotel is adequate. No frills but very comfortable. My room was very clean and cozy. Staff very nice Hotel condition was outdated and tired looking. Restaurant was very expensive. No designated airport shuttle and no face towels unless requested. I would give it a 75 out of 100.

This beach front hotel is one of Jamaica’s hidden gems The establishment is small, rustic and charming giving you a feeling of personalized attention from the front desk, the servers (Michelle) and maintenance greeting you with a smile and conversation. The free breakfast was excellent (ackee & salt fish, run down) delicious and they offer American breakfast, which I saw was good (waffles, omelette etc.) Big up to the chef that prepared the steam fish on 10/26 for dinner… mouthwatering. 2 draw backs: 1 Need a screen door in the dining area to keep flys out and 2 the drive up to the facility felt unsafe and sketchy for new visitors especially if your arriving at night. I must confess the hotel and the surrounding neighborhood was very safe. We walked the neighborhood during the day and night to the supermarket and restaurant and was not bothered. Thanks to your staff for your hospitality my husband and I enjoyed ourselves.

RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN FROM THIS TRASH HOTEL. Do not let the photos fool you. This is was the worst experience I have ever had. The bathroom was disgusting. The shower head did not work which forced us to take a squat bath with the water running. The floors were disgusting we didn't even want to take our shoes off. The bed was terribly uncomfortable and cheap. But you can see the quality of the mattress because they literally had dirty mattresses stacked up at the end of the hallway. Everything was terribly disgusting. Don't think you are going to call anyone for help because there is no phone in the rooms. All the furniture was broke down and ripped apart. This was more like a $20 hotel instead of spending $140 a night. Please this is a waste of your money. We booked the room for 2 nights but checked out the next morning because why would we continue to have to endure such horrible standard of living. They would not issue me a refund for the rest of my stay. This is a TRASH TRASH TRASH hotel! I will be posting all my pictures and videos and creating a video on TikTok to warn international travels to not book here unless they want a $20 expereince. But at least in a $20 hotel you can take a descent shower. They really got all my money for this crappy place.

The service and Staff go above and beyond for the client!!!! Everyone is so friendly and nice, from before I reached I received an email asking if I need to be picked up from the airport. To the thank you email after check out! Absolutely amazing . I will be back and I’m bringing more friends.

I enjoyed the access I had to the beach each morning. Just a few steps and I was in the water. The staff is professional, yet have the ability to make you feel as if you are among family or long time friends. I would suggest a chair and desk/table in the room for those writing moments. Overall it was a beautiful experience at Sand and Tan. I look forward to next time.❤️💙🎈

The customer service is excellent. The property is in front of the beach and the bar too, they make excellent drinks! White river is very close to the property. The individual a/c went off at night time because works with motion, since we deeply slept it went off. If this happens to you ask manager at any time to remove the motion equipment, they are very kind. Hard to find the hotel via GPS, you need to go around to get to the area around the property is terrible.

I loved that the property has its own private beach and easily accessible. The staff was courteous and very prompt to answer any questions. Food was delicious and loved that breakfast was included in stay. I will definitely stay again!

This is an amazing beach oasis, a hidden gem! Unfortunately a bit too hidden as there is no signage off the main road. The road to the hotel is a bit much, but once you open the sliding doors to the beach you know you came to the right place! The food was superb, Seafood Platter and Jamaican Curry Crab are a must! Enjoyed my morning swim followed by an authentic Jamaican breakfast.

Small quaint hotel spot on the water. Staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean,spacious and air conditioning is cold. The patio outside the room is amazing to view the sunset. Tiki bar is expensive but play the best music!! Food is fabulous!

I loved having my room right at the water. You could hear the waves all night long. Falling asleep and waking up to the ocean is beautiful. The staff is very nice and helpful. The food from the on-site restaurant was very good, taste like home cooking. Tables were set up on the pier for lunch and dinner. The bar plays nice selection of music and the vibe was relaxing. This is a quaint low budget hotel for Jamaica but If you’re looking for a low key relaxing place to vacation this is it.

The view was amazing, the food (dinner) was really good and we liked the breakfast. But the first impression is important and the first impression of the hotel is not good. The road leading to the hotel is terrible. There are a lot of people who constantly want to sell you something and as a tourist you are sometimes obtrusively harassed. I went through only 2 times then it was enough for me. After that I only used the cab. The refrigerator in the room stunk and did not work. I would have preferred to have none at all than one that stinks up the room. The furnishings and cleanliness of the room was ok but due to the stench it unfortunately felt unclean.

The private beach at Sand & Tan was so lovely, I could walk out of my room straight to the beach and the bar. The area aroud the hotel is very authentic Jamaica with locals who are more than willing to help.

The property is a small place that more locals visit so its not a tourist driven property. The rooms could use some updating as they are not modern and need touchups but not a bad place to stay if you want to get away from the big tourist trap hotels like the Riu. Very small property but has great dinner and the view is probably 1 of the best that you can get but if you are looking for amenities this is not the place and the area is not the best for exploring.Front desk staff is very helpful and super cool.
