Overall a decent stay at Ziba Suites. The location in Lamai is really good, with loads of restaurants and bars nearby, and the beach and night market are both just a short walk away. The area around it is a little seedy in places, but nothing that caused us any problems.
The room itself was really spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was great. It was also really handy having the spa next door, which you can use once a day. There were a few things that let it down though. We had quite a strong drain smell at times, there were ants in the bathroom, and the pool wasn’t the cleanest. The pool water also seemed to turn anything white yellow, which was a bit strange.
The main thing for me is that the place just feels a bit tired now and could really do with a refurb, a fresh coat of paint and a bit more attention in general. I would still recommend it because the location is great, the rooms are big and the bed was really comfortable. It just needs a bit of love to bring it back up to scratch.

We had an amazing stay, the staff were friendly and helped up book a private boat tour. The facilities were beautiful, clean and comfortable. The restaurant a few metres away was great
The adjacent day spa was closed for their semi annual holiday, the exact week we stayed but unfortunately didn’t know until we got there, which was disappointing.

A bit tired interior, pool wasn’t inviting at all, it wasn’t bad but we had no desire to spend time in the hotel.
