Where to start... This hotel was the final stop on our trip to the coast of Kenya, and we decided to look for a place a bit more isolated and far from Diani. Well, we made the perfect choice! Everything at Mwazaro is designed to make you feel right at home, and they definitely succeeded!
The hotel is located about an hour from Diani, close to Shimoni, with no other hotels nearby. It is difficult to describe how beautiful the scenery around the hotel is, with the beach right next to it and a huge lagoon in front. We stayed in a standard double room, and the views were breathtaking; waking with the sunrise and so close to the beach was unforgettable!
The staff is exceptionally attentive and friendly; I can honestly say that the service is the best I have ever experienced in Kenya or anywhere else. I would like to thank everyone for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. A special mention goes to the chef, the food was a 10/10 for both breakfast and dinner, making dining one of the highlights of each day. Having breakfast and dinner included is recommended, as there are no other easily accessible restaurants or bars nearby.
The hotel offers several excursions to choose from. We took a full-day trip that included dolphin watching, snorkeling, a fresh fish lunch, and a visit to Wasini Island. We particularly enjoyed the snorkeling in the marine national park. Notably, the hotel driver dropped us off in the morning (10 minute drive from the hotel) and picked us up at the end of the day, which we greatly appreciated.
For the rest of our stay, we mostly relaxed by the swimming pool and in the lounge, which has a billiard, a football table, and comfortable couches. Next to the pool there is a bar with food and drink options, so you can easily enjoy yourself there all day long.
To sum up, I would recommend Mwazaro to anyone wanting to relax for a few days and completely disconnect in the middle of a beautiful paradise. We are already planning our next visit!

Die Küche ist ausgezeichnet, und sehr innovativ, visuell ansprechend, reichhaltig. Alles wird an Ort produziert, auch das Brot. Individuellen Wünschen wird entsprochen. Hauptqualität: die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit, Mwazaro ist definitiv ein Ort für individuelle Geniesser, abseits aller Touristenfallen. Sehr interessante Entstehungsgeschichte. Sehr verbunden mit der lokalen Community.

Amazing location directly next to the marine park, completely exclusive as there is no other hotel around.
Extremely friendly staff that will do anything to make you feel welcome and rooms are in great condition.
