The view was spectacular. It really felt like you were part of nature and remote without being totally cut off from everything.
The hot tub was a lovely space to chat and watch the world go by.
I couldn't work the sauna, perhaps super simple instructions for complete novices, would be good.

The Retreat was just bliss. My husband and I had had a stressful few weeks ,with 2 family deaths and just wanted to be on our own to decompress. The drive to The Retreat was beautiful , and it had gorgeous views. The apartment was very spacious and had everything you could possibly need. We entered through the bedroom and were greeted with a fabulous high bed, with lots of cushions and draped in a cosy throw, complete with rose petals! The bathroom was large and beautifully finished with a double shower , fluffy white towels,and lovely smelling toiletries . The kitchen/ living space was a comfortable size and had a large tv on the wall. Perfect to relax.
The best part was ,when you went upstairs and outside ,we had our own personal hot tub and sauna. Even though the weather was hot,it had cooled down in the evening, so we decided to test out the sauna. There was a window on the door so we could look at the beautiful scenery whilst we cooked!😄
I had the best nights sleep that night. All in all, we had a very peaceful ,private stay for 3 nights. I would recommend a visit. 5☆
Everything was perfect ,although the knobs on one of the bedroom drawers came off in my hands. Apart from that.i couldn't fault anything. 🙂

This place is just so wonderful. We had been to a very sad event and booked this place to stay afterwards as it was half way between there and home for me and we wanted to decompress after such a sad day. It is so peaceful and with beautiful views. Very soothing for the soul. We sat in the hot tub and reminisced about the old days. The sauna was also a nice addition. The main bed is extremely comfy and is all done to a high standard. My friend slept on the sofa bed and said it was perfectly adequate. No proper kitchen but everything you need to make food with a hidden two ring hob and very clever use of space. We ordered a Chinese from Blandford that delivered and was very tasty.
Nothing we didn’t like.

It was in a lovely area. We saw Wild hare in the meadows!
When we went to sleep at 10pm we could hear people running around above the bedroom and talking. The shower was bunged up it got to an inch ir so of dirty water very quickly.
