Really wonderful, friendly & helpful staff - they are the stars of the hotel :-)
Spotlessly clean hotel in a beautiful old apartment block so gorgeous marble stairs & floors in main building plus I loved the old style elevator. My room was a lovely & clean - nice large bed with crisp white sheets & plenty of towels. Hairdryer, shampo & shower gel supplied. Small fridge in the room plus a kettle to make instant tea coffee (although had search the breakfast buffet to find ordinary breakfast teabags plus there was no milk provided in the rooms)
AirCon & fan in the room.

Overall a wonderful hotel but some quirks that might not suit all?
As a solo female traveller I felt the hotel was in a too quiet an area and along a very dimly lit street - this was especially true after dark - I walked back alone after meeting friends for dinner (approx 10:30pm) and the area near the hotel felt deserted plus so dark in sections that I could barely see the footpath - I was quite nervous walking alone. Usually i aim to stay in hotels where there is some 'life' around them at night and it feels safer.
I loved the hotel but some might find the trek from the main reception area to the bedrooms (through a door into a large stairwell, up 3 floors in the lift, come out onto a landing where there are private apartments I think, through a security door to the bedroom area using your swipe card, then a short walk to your room and use the swipe again to get in to your room) Its a bit of a distance if the swipe card does not work or if you need to go get a drinking glass as none provided in the room.
Also for me breakfast was lovely and enough but I know of my husband was with me he would find it a little small.

The breakfast is served in the bar area and is really just pasty a small selection of whole fresh fruit and a small selection of meats and cheeses. However the coffee was excellent. And there are no nearby coffee shops of cafes. The closest eating places are about a 15 minute walk away.
I wish they had a fuller breakfast buffet. And this location is both a hotel and apartments. It is a little bit of a maze to find your room. And a little far from the sites, but close to public transit.

Breakfast is nice and staff really helpful. Location is close to metro station. Rooms size is also good.
Air conditioner didn't work during whole stay. Hotel needs to fix this issue since it's a common complaint. Cleaning is done once each 2 days. Price is too high in my opinion, although Rome has became really expensive everywhere.

Air conditioning was not strong enough during our August stay (around 40°C outside); the room stayed around 29°C even at night
Noise from the neighboring room, including early-morning showers at 6:00 am (The noise issue may have been specific to the room we stayed in)
