The location is ideal for exploring Zamalek. Rooms are comfy and clean with a pretty view. The staff is super friendly and helpful! I'll definitely book here again if I need to stay in Zamalek.
The rooms were slightly dusty but it was barely noticeable.

Great place, comfortable rooms, good strong wifi (which I needed for online meetings) and wonderful staff. Kareem was very helpful and the two women who cleaned the hotel were lovely.

Location wasn’t too great because it was hard to find (is in a tall building that doesn’t appear in maps) but Zooba is a good restaurant down the street. The AC worked. The view from the shared hostel balcony was cool. Although we never met, the hostel worker was nice on WhatsApp and responsive.
My taxi was going in circles for 30 minutes trying to locate this on the map. The address given to us was not easy to find. I never saw a singular staff person there. Didn’t know where the towels were. The bathroom was shared, which may have been my fault for not realizing. When I bumped into another hostel mate, she asked if I was enjoying my stay and I waited for her answer: “I feel like I’ve been catfished.” This could not have been more true. The other guests and I were astonished reading all the amazing reviews, thinking someone might have paid for them. We ended up packing our things after a day and going to a different hotel (not on Zamalek) because the reception in the area was bad so we didn’t feel super safe at times. Definitely need to be covered up in this area. If you’re someone that simply needs a cheap place to stay and don’t care about anything else, I’m sure you’d be fine here.
