Close to the beach and relaxed

If you are into a hotel where you can see and hear children screaming and crying and throwing tantrums at any given moment of day or evening, Vila Baleira Resort is for you. The little ones made their presence heard with non stop screams at the beach, by the pool, in the lobby and in all restaurants.
The hotel itself is nicely located, close to the beautiful beach but a little outdated, looking like a 1970s construction. Room was big and bed was pretty comfortable, balcony with nice view over the ocean.
My favorite part was Dunas restaurant, with good vibes, sheltered by palm trees and a sand dune, with friendly staff.

The food at the buffet was very tasty and there was a wide selection. Even if you want to eat vegetarian, there is a selection.
The rooms are fine, we only stayed one night. Therefore, I cannot give a definitive assessment of the room cleaning. To get to the hotel, you can take the bus, which stops right in front of the hotel.
Direct access to the sandy beach is very nice, the water is very shallow, and there is a lifeguard. We didn't use the pools because there were too many children there.
We wouldn't have chosen this hotel because we travel without children and actually wanted to go to Madeira. When we couldn't land in Madeira, we got off at Porto Santo without our luggage. Then an all-inclusive hotel was just right.
It is a family hotel, so there were a lot of children there. This means that the hotel is very noisy and there are few places where you can find peace and quiet. The walls in the rooms are also very thin.
In addition, my charging cable disappeared—I had bought it brand new that day and left it in the room when we went out to eat. Since we were traveling with only hand luggage and it was definitely not there, the only other option is that someone took it. The hotel didn't seem particularly concerned about it.

The location was great and the staff was very polite, pleasant and helpful.
Be careful, it’s not what it seems. The room pictures in booking are not from here ( only the old looking rooms from the 90’s) the food is very average, cheap and you have to pay for sun beds at the beach ( 30eur) you will get one reusable bottle of water in a room where 3 people are staying, that’s pettiness at its best, there should be a bottle per person.Also I didn’t have access to the gym which irritated me even more. In general no vale for money.
