A convenient

The location was very convenient to get in the center. Quiet neighbouhood. The hotel was well decorated and welcoming. Rooms were large enough. The breakfast was very nice with lots of choice. The staff was welcoming. The garden is beautiful and would be nice to enjoy on sunny days.

Mainly the beds : they were not comfy, quite hard, did not sleep well. And the mattress of the sofa bed was very thin and only good for a small child I would say. The parking is quite expensive and not well explained. Apart from that, we enjoyed our stay.

Rigtig hyggeligt sted og super serviceminded personale. Fin seng og flot indretning

Der var meget lydt så man kunne høre dem ovenpå gå rundt og loftet (gulv hos dem ) knirkede og gav efter. Tæpperne var ulækre og trængte til rens. Gulvet på vores værelse og på gangen var meget skæve, så man følte man røg ned i huller. Der trænger virkeligt til at blive lagt nye gulve som er lyd isolerende.

Overpriced executive suite and poor service

Location is decent Nice garden view from our room.

We booked an executive room for our wedding so we had more space to get ready and being significantly more expensive we expected it to be a bit nicer than the standard room we'd stayed in at the hotel before. Instead, it was almost exactly the same only with a few extra feet between the bed and the desk. We moved to the Travelodge for the last night of our Oxford stay to save some money and the room costed a fraction of the price and was larger and didn't look dissimilar to the executive room. Most of the staff were rude and disinterested. We ordered room service, just two burgers and a mixed bread and oils. It took an hour and twenty minutes to arrive. After 45 minutes I called down to ask how long we could expect to wait, they disappeared for ages so I hung up. They never called me back with an answer so I had to call again and they said yeah I checked it's coming now. I asked how long and they said 7 minutes, we waited almost 30 minutes after that. They didn't apologise at all on the phone. When the food came, the burger was fine but the mixed bread was in fact just a toasted panini so not mixed at all and quite solid.

A pleasant hotel in a convenient location

I have used this hotel several times and we like the location and feel that it is value for money. Some of the staff were very helpful. The rooms are good and we like the fact that you still get biscuits in the rooms.

There was a confusion with the booking and we ended up paying twice for the extra person and because different people were on duty, they did not understand the issue. We were only given one towel in the room and had to ask for another.

Very good in all respects, and, I thought, good value for money.

Comfortable and warm room, generous breakfast, books available to read, very good location.

The bath / shower was rather slippery, I think it would be good to provide a non slip mat, also I would like a bigger shelf in the bathroom.

Slept well. Comfortable stay. Would stay again.

Comfortable room. Black out curtains. Clean functional shower room and tv worked as it should . Staff were very helpful and dealt very well with some difficult customers that were staying at the same time as us. They were polite and patient.

Toilet too near to shower door to get legs in but minor issue.

Mostly good, could have been better with a more spacious room

Excellent breakfast,attentive staff

Not being told until after booking that there was a £10 a night parking charge. Original room offered had an unpleasant smell so we were offered the only other room available which was quite small, had a small bed and was very hot during the night.

Good value for money, lovely staff who wete super accommodating. Great spot to stay for a few days. Location is great. Would recommend it and stay again.

Rooms could use a spruce up and deep clean in general but then again for a 3-star hotel it was very good.

Small family room

The location is walking distance from Oxford College and city center. Breakfast was decent.

The room was tiny and expensive for a family room. It was on the top floor, so the roof slope made it difficult for my husband to stand up and walk around. The beds were too close together. There shouldn't be 2 double beds in that size room.

Exceptional

All staff were friendly and professional. Room was very clean and spacious for my 1 night stay, mot too far from city centre and on a good bud route. Breakfast was lovely, wide rage of foods to chose from. Would definitely stay again when I next visit oxford

Very good

Location was convenient walking to the city centre, about 25 mins. Hotel was very clean and comfortable, exactly what I needed for a one night stay. They had a small cafe during the day for hot drinks and cakes. The staff were friendly.

Parking was too expensive. £10 per night, then you had to pay £3 per hour from 11am-4pm. Very unnecessary to be so expensive, there were plenty of parking spots. Also the entire hotel, including its restaurant did not have a microwave, so I couldn't heat up my dinner which I brought with me. Apparently this was because of health and safety, I think that just didn't want to encourage people bringing food to the hotel, which is pretty bad service!

Lovely hotel, great location with an easy walk into town

Excellent choices

The shower curtain in our room was missing, we reported it to reception, they offered us a different room but we had just unpacked so did not see the point. A replacement curtain would have been easier!

All in all - really happy with my stay - a good 9/10 and will definitely use again.

The room was fine, nice and clean. Staff were all excellent and polite. Great choice from evening menu and also at breakfast too. So really happy with my first stay here, which wont be the last...... looking forward to a return visit very soon.

Only two things, 1) in my room 006, kept hearing ticking sounds from the water pipes passing down through the room - which was actually quite loud - it did keep me awake for a while.... 2) The A/C had no control so couldn't operate it at all. and the room was hot, just couldn't regulate the temperature that well, and the supplied room fan was quite draughty when used.
