Great apartment for a short break, pretty location and super central to walk into centre of town.

Great location, nice sized apartment and the host made the check-in nice and simple. Clean and tidy, with a decent kitchen to prepare food if we wanted.

Not the fault of the apartment or host, but someone else in the building smokes and sometimes you can smell it in the apartment or if hanging towels out to dry.

A great place, but attention to detail would work wonders.

This is a nice, comfortable property in the heart of Bermeo, overlooking the harbour, and with wonderful views of the sea. Bermeo is a fascinating town, with lots of tapas bars where you can sit and watch the world go by. It is very lively, as we discovered since our stay coincided with their major festival. This made for very noisy evenings, but it also meant that we had a ringside seat for a spectacular firework display.

The communication regarding entry to the property was poor. Our host presumed that we were literate in the use of WhatsApp. Bermeo is a rabbit warren of a town and hard to navigate. Access to the property is virtually impossible, especially during festival week. We ended up having to ferry our belongings to the property from our car, parked over half a mile away. This required two trips, not good for a 78 year old! The apartment is insufficiently equipped: no kettle for boiling water, no bowls, no toaster/grill. We received no instruction on the use of the appliances. And what would it have cost to provide a welcoming provision of some milk, coffee, bread etc.? This creates a good impression from the start. Our host , it must be said, came and ferried our belongings to our car on the day of departure.

Bermeo is a lovely place to spend a few days exploring this part of the Basque coast with easy connections to Bilbao and

Wonderful location and very comfortable. Generally well appointed.

We couldn’t get the oven to work and there were no instructions

Delightful pied à terre which we were loath to leave

The location and view of the port were really great - we spent hours looking at the coming and going of the boats and people going about their business. The size of the flat was a very nice surprise too. We really fell in love with Bermeo. The quaint (and steep) staircase path up to the flat was a different kind of surprise and explained why we had not found the address on waze. Made me think of Enid Blyton adventure books :-)

To know up front: the view comes at the cost of noise both from the tapas bars and the early morning street cleaning. We loved the view so accepted the noise, it was more than worth it. The door was a little difficult to open, you need to jiggle the key. My son could not open it alone. I travel with a sharp knife and it was necessary :-)
