Einfach toll!

Supermarkt Lupa nur 2 Minuten entfernt, es gibt eine Abkürzung dorthin. Das Zimmer ist wunderschön. Kühlschrank vorhanden, der komplett leise ist. Der Herr des Hauses war total lieb.

Der Abfluss fing nachts an zu stinken. Die Dusche scheint zudem nicht richtig dicht zu sein (zumindest im Zimmer, in dem ich war), besser vor dem Duschen ein Handtuch direkt davor legen, sonst wird der Boden recht nass. Leider gab es keine Steckdose in Bettnähe.

La cama era comodísima, la ubicación esta genial ya que andando en un momento estas en el centro, además de tener unas vistas preciosas, personal muy amable, agradable y atento.

Es verdad que el desayuno para mi gusto no es el mejor, había variedad pero sobre todo de dulce, de salado había embutido y poco más, pero bueno, tanto las mermeladas caseras como los dulces caseros estaban muy ricos

A lovely stopover venue while touring northern Spain.

This is a very friendly and comfortable place to stay. The breakfast was simple but very good, and our room was very comfortable, with an excellent balcony and view.

Tricky to get there but worth the effort

Very nice hotel and bigger than expected given its location thro' all the small back lanes. Very nice welcoming and friendly staff, nice room in an adjacent annex. The room was a good size, all fresh and clean with views toward the town and also the University, with the top of the Gaudi house just in view. Ample buffet breakfast included, plenty of parking both outside reception and also on a second, flatter carpark higher up and around the back, which was ideal for our motorcycle, There's a good-sized supermarket at the bottom of some nearby steps and many options for bars & restaurants both in town. and along the seafront We love Comillas, stayed there quite a few times, in a variety of places, and this has been our favourite accommodation there to date - we would happy stay again the next time.

Not so easy to find, although there is plenty of signage if you look hard enough, access via the narrow lanes and inclines is tricky on a large fully laden motorcycle but I wouldn't let that put you off. The walk down into town involves some steep hills which may not suit some, but we were fine.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Solana Montanesa. Tucked away and accessed via a very narrow and windy lane it really feels like a hidden gem, yet down a flight of steps is the main road and an easy walk into the town. Once we arrived we didn’t need the car again until we left. The lady/proprietor on reception was friendly and welcoming, polite and very efficient and didn’t laugh at my dreadful Spanish! Our room wasn’t huge but roomy enough, clean and comfortable - and we had a terrace where, in the evening of our stay we enjoyed the view. We enjoyed our continental breakfast which set us up nicely for our onward journey, the short distance to the ferry at Santander.

Can’t think of anything we didn’t like. Maybe bar snacks could be offered in the evenings. As in many touristy places many bars and restaurants in Comillas are closed in the evening out of season. We did find somewhere for our evening meal but in future we’ll eat during the day and snack in the evening.

Not much to say. Air con would’ve been nice. Cups in the room to be able to make tea but again just asked and cups were there so not really a problem.

Absolutely wonderful

We had a beautiful corner room with windows on two sides and a wrap around balcony with table and chairs. Lovely view! It was impeccably clean and a comfortable size. Appreciated in room coffee/tea and fridge. Breakfast was lovely—juices, coffee, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, meats, cheeses, toast, croissants/pastries, melon, fresh fruit, etc. Loved every minute of our stay.

Bed more firm than I prefer. Breakfast was served to us at buffet by us indicating items we wanted—felt a little awkward, would prefer to choose and serve on my own.

We felt at home in these beautiful, new surroundings,

We found ourselves in a quiet location with lovely views in easy walking distance from the centre of town and the beach. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the very first moment until the sad moment of our departure.

We liked everything about our stay and we are determined to return.
