Very clean, organised and pretty. The pool was also great and the restaurant as well. Had shuttle bus every hour to go to either Hoi An old town or An Bang beach.
We had an unpleasant experience with the staff working at the Sky Bar.
At one point, our fries fell, and the waiter managed to catch them just before they hit the floor, but unfortunately, he caught them with his bare hands. Accidents happen, and we understand that. However, what made the situation worse was that a second colleague tried to hide what had happened by stepping in front of us so we couldn’t see. Unfortunately, we had already witnessed everything.
A third colleague noticed the situation, asked them to replace the fries, and apologised to us. We appreciated the apology and were perfectly fine with that solution. However, less than two minutes later, they returned with what were clearly the same fries.
We could tell they hadn’t been replaced because they were already cold. Moreover, less than two minutes was simply not enough time for someone to take the fries down to the kitchen on the first floor, prepare a fresh portion, and bring it back.
We find this particularly disappointing in a five-star hotel. We would have expected the staff to take responsibility for the situation and simply prepare a fresh portion of fries rather than serve us food that had fallen and been handled with bare hands.
The issue is not that accidents happen; it is how the staff chose to handle the situation afterwards. We expected a much higher standard of honesty, hygiene, and service.
