We had a lovely stay at Almare Guest house. Marco, Kimmi and family were very friendly and helpful and we were even invited to join them for dinner one night, which was very kind of them.
There’s some great snorkelling right by the property too.

Breakfast was good. Atmosphere at the dining area was pleasant and homey.
Everything was great and as advertised. Owner and staffs are amazing!

This place is amazing to stay, with private beach just behind the room and where we can see some turtles if we are lucky. The staff was very nice with us.
We were supposed to stay 3 nights, we ended up staying only one.
Let me explain :
When we arrived in the guesthouse, we saw 3 dogs tied to the poles, without the possibility of walking. they were literally glued to the post. They had no water available throughout the day. The two dogs on the side are exposed to the sun all afternoon and try to hide from the shade as best they can. We suppose the owners don't take them for walks as they defecate in their tiny space. They cry all day and night. For us, it was unacceptable to see these dogs in this situation, totally deprived of freedom (this is similar to animal abuse). So we left, explaining the reasons to the Italian owner.
