A great view from the hotel of the surrounding fields and mountains (lots of wading birds close by). Spacious room with good beds, enough lights and sockets, adequate bathroom. There was enough choice for breakfast. Lots of parkings sapce as well.
You really need a car for this location as there are no shops or other facilities close by.
There is no lift but the staff will help you carry your bags if needed.

It’s isolated location & drive down through amazing glacial valley
Restaurant menu for dinner welcomed our late arrival but the cook was sick! No food available until breakfast.

The manager was very hospitable, helpful, and engaging. The food was excellent - both supper and breakfast buffet. The property was well kept, historical, and offered outdoor opportunities. THe cottages were nice and private. AND THEY HAD ICE to make a drink on arrival to relax -- that has been difficult to find in Iceland.
THe bathroom was very tight, but still manageable. We were there one night and it was perfect.

It was a place to sleep and the breakfast included
The many up charges such as the hot tub and laundry. Was looking forward to both amenities and the lunch isn’t a self service machine but a handoff to the staff for them to do it, at 4800 ISK for a “small bag”, I’ll pass. The radiator heat also didn’t work in our room. The staff gave us a plug in mini heater. Additionally, you have to ask the front desk for a hairdryer, upon request. There isn’t one in the room. The shower water pressure is weak on the 2nd floor.
