Loved our stay will defs go back.

Everything, had kids games, heaps of couches to choose to sit on, smart tvs for movies in the reception area.

I thought for the price (because it was so cheap) it wouldnt be great, I was wrong was awesome!

The price was amazing for my 3 children and myself, staff were friendly and very accommodating, location is awesome directly opposite the skyline gondolas, room was spotless, beds comfy, shower was amazing.

Clean , comfortable beds, but missing extras....

Need a mirror in main area. Bit whitewashed - a colourful picture on wall would be nice. No face cloth. Tea was cheap. No information book. No icebox in fridge. Just those little extras were missing.....

Cheap, cheerful and convenient for those just passing through.

The room was functional. But it was clean, had all the basics and the shower was good. It was also close to the Skyline (well worth doing) and all the fast food outlets. If you just want to stay the night this hotel is fine - cheap and cheerful. Do not buy the breakfast option though!

Breakfast. It was a joke and we couldn’t eat it. The dish of food (?) we were eventually given included lukewarm warm chips!! We complained and did get our money back for this.

Location and cleaning

Awa hotel didn’t proper management they are not prompt response about any queries like i had any issues with in wifi connection in the room..i need to keep remanding to solve my queries about internet. Its take too long Other things about basics utility they never provide like other hotels, no water , used hand wash body wash,shampoo never refilled, no brush toothpaste in Washroom, no tissue I feel disappointed with this hotel If you coming from far and if you forgot necessary things, hotel don’t provide.

Very nice accommodation, friendly staff.

Very nice, clean rooms at a good price point. Staff were very helpful and tried their bast to make the stay nice.

A bit of work on breakfast menu (the staff tried but cooking isn't their forte, with a better menu this would be a nice little add on for the accommodation.)

Awa Hotel: Home away from home

I loved our overall stay at Awa hotel. Firstly, the price is very reasonable for a room that's very spacious, immaculately clean, and the interior design is modern. Secondly, their room amenities are full-packed and their receiving area has a pool table and massage chairs to enjoy. Lastly, we had a good time chatting away with the lovely and smart owner, who we call 'auntie', while we were enjoying the delicious food from their restaurant. I highly recommend Awa hotel - home away from home. 👍

Great Value for money

Got upgraded for free. Young lady at reception was so kind. Room had a great view of gondolas. Very quiet. Second visit. Will be back again.

Nothing to mention here. Room is basic but had everything I needed.

Wouldn’t stay again.

Nice enough.

Beds were like rock, our backs took a week to recover. Bed covers don’t look like something that is washed or changed between guests? Could be wrong but not sure how they can be given the style.

HORRIBLE!!!

Everything. Rooms were filthy. At first they checked us into another guests room. So they moved us into another room which had filth everywhere. Blood and urine stains on bedsheets. Bathroom not cleaned, so we got moved again to a room which was no cleaner and a safe they was beeping all night from a low battery. A gentleman came to fix it who couldn’t speak a work of English, after his failing attempt to stop the beeping, he just left. Staff very unprofessional. So unfortunate. I wouldn’t recommend this Hotel to anyone. Also when I was seeking compensation or a discount for the immense stuff around the Hotel owner laughed in my face and walked off. So we got charged the full amount. WARNING for others. Avoid this place. Not worth it at any cost Booking.com please remove this host from your database

Well priced and Clean Motel

Well appointed room, bit small and wouldnt spend heaps of time in the room but had all we needed. We were right next to the elevator but didnt hear a sound through the night. Resteraunt and shop in the building. Good brochure stand full of local activities.

Friendly staff but they couldnt advise us on the tourist options, If you didnt have a car you would struggle, everything a bit far.

Will be back

Location is great close everywhere especially right infront of the gondolas. Lovely view at night. Owner and reception were very accomodating and helpful thanks a lot we appreciate that. :) clean rooms :)

Great Fun.

Location was the awesome close to skyline Gondola. Missed a tiny microwave or heating pan in the room. Massage chair was nice and cozy.

Could be better pillow set. and power cord for charging phone or laptop next to bed.

Good and strange

Clean.Good AC, nice bathroom.

Hard bed, no way to cook, tiny fridge. Bathroom smelly after flushing. No bedside lamps so only option to have full lights on all the time.

Amazing place to stay when visiting Rotorua!

Perfect location to stay. Close to all Rotorua attractions and calm area. Rooms were super clean and looked to have been recently renovated.

Schöner Aufenthalt im AWA Hotel

Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer mit eigenem Bad. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und das Personal super nett. Da Hotel ist nagelneu. Ohne Auto ist das Hotel zu weit weg von der Innenstadt. Da waren wir aber selbst schuld, hatten das bei der Buchung nicht gelesen.

Great location, clean room, poor customer service.

The location was very convenient. On the mainroad and very close to the Rotorua Skyline.

The customer service was poor. Careless when you bring things to their attention. Booked a room for 3 people, but only two towels and glasses/cups in the room.

Klasse Lage und wenig Schwefelgeruch

Lage mit guter Erreichbarkeit der zwei Attraktiionen die uns wichtig waren: Skyline mit den Luges und der Zorb-Ball. Beide waren in der frühe schnell zu erreichen. Ebenfalls sehr praktisch: Das Hotel bei der üblichen Windrichtung so, dass man wenig vom Schwefelgeruch mitbekommt.

The cleanliness was amazing.Great shower comfy bed quiet

Arrived early (1) check in time is 3 and were told our room was ready. We were informed we could check in at 2 free of charge however if we wanted to check in at 1 we had to pay an additional $20. Don’t understand how a 1 hour difference would make when our room was ready ! It isn’t like they give you a refund if you check out before the required time.

The staff fantastic but working so many different jobs that it became impossible.

The staff. They tried very hard to please and be respectful and helpful . But they struggled with lack of staff.

The room wasn’t as described by Booking. Com . So who takes the blame?

Very bad experience

Was clean

Lounge area has no airconditioning or if there was, it was not turned on and this was during summer so it was hot. I had booked multiple Rooms for 4 different families but it took them around 2-3 hours to check us in as we were told they were understaffed. Hotel just opened but understaff is not an excuse and there was no manager available so we were waiting for so long not knowing when we can check in and it wasted half of our day meaning our itinerary was shot because of it. We were nit even offered anything at all and we have to ask for it and was only given soda for the wasted time. Was a very bad experience for us and there were also others who booked who waited longer than us but some guests were checked in first before us even though we were waiting longer. Also, the parking space is not enough for the guests

The place is fully refurbished. The room is very nice and clean, all look brand new. Facilities are great especially the massage chair.

Staff and room service were always lovely and professional and I can’t fault them at all.

The rooms were really clean and I appreciated that I got a new towel every day. It was abit strange that the toilets rolls weren’t full toilet rolls, but we had enough thank goodness.

The beds in my room was like sleeping on a concrete slab. They were SO hard! Even my kids were uncomfortable and they can literally sleep anywhere and not be phased. I slept there for 3 nights and woke up with a sore body and had very little rest every morning because of how uncomfortable the beds were. The parking was also terrible. There was barely any parking available and I had to park in front of the dairy next door every night. It made me feel uneasy to park my car there at night but I had no other choice.

Die Unterkunft ist ok für eine Nacht. Wir würden sie allerdings kein zweites Mal buchen.

Die Lage ist sehr zentral und leicht zu finden. Den Geruch von Rotorua nimmt man dort noch nicht wahr. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Die Ausstattung ist neu, aber sehr minimalistisch eingerichtet. Die Matratze ist unbequem (sehr weich) und wir hatten keine Fenster nach draußen. Ferner mussten wir nach Handtüchern und Toilettenpapier nachfragen. Die Parkplätze sind begrenzt.

Tener que esperar más de una hora para que te den una habitación ya pasada la hora de límite de check-in porque no tenían ninguna disponible. Colchón demasiado blando. Ubicación alejada del centro y nada interesante
