About this house rental
The Playground provides an elevated vacation experience that is unmatched in this area. Located just 1.5 miles from one of the southeast’s most scenic lakes- Carter’s Lake and only minutes from some of Ellijay’s most beautiful vineyards, apple houses, and less than a 20 minute drive from downtown Ellijay. The home is also conveniently located just 1.5 hours north of Atlanta and 1.5 hours south of Chattanooga. This location is simply- prime!
INSIDE:
This home was custom-built with so much love and attention to detail. You will enter the home on the main level. Walking in your eyes are immediately drawn to the large windows overlooking the woods and creek. We have an open concept kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need to cook and enjoy a meal on the large dining table (seats 10). A unique, double sided gas fireplace separates the area entering the living space which is complete with balcony access, gas grill, and smart tv. Bedroom 1 is located on the main floor which boasts private balcony and bathroom with walk in shower and walk-in closet.
There is also a half bath on the main level.
Downstairs you will love the common area to lounge, watch some TV, or play games which includes air hockey, arcade games, and board games. The downstairs modular couch can convert into a bed to accommodate 2 guests (perfect for kids). We also have a laundry room with washer and dryer. Bedroom 2 features a private balcony and en suite bathroom with walk in shower. Bedroom 3 boasts a private balcony and shared bathroom with walk-in shower.
OUTSIDE:
Upon pulling up to the house you’ll immediately notice the unique design elements incorporated that were inspired by the naturally beautiful surroundings-hand stacked stone, woods, metal-coming together to form something amazing. We want our guests to feel immersed in the setting that makes Ellijay so special.
Guests are free to explore the large property surrounding the home which includes private access to Harris Creek! The only other home in site is our creeksdie tiny home, “The Treehouse.” Also available to rent or add on. Once finished taking in all that the creek has to offer, enjoy time around the fire pit or grilling out on the balcony overlooking the dense forest.
There really is something so captivating about this spot. We are so excited for you to have fun and make memories at THE PLAYGROUND!

I couldn’t say enough about our short weekend trip here. We were in town for our son’s football tournament about 45 min away. This home was a gem! The host, AMAZING! Views were outstanding. Beds, clean and comfortable. Everything was so well thought out from the extra makeup removers, to bath robes, to good reads on the nightstand. We traveled as 2 adults and a 10 year old and 3 year old. Our son loved having the games downstairs and even though it rained Saturday we were able to enjoy the sound of the rain and spending time together. And as a family who feels like we are always on the go for sports or practices, or even just having a toddler, we were so grateful for this slow down! Again, I could go on and on about our time here. Book it!

The host was amazingly attentive and the home was exactly as pictured on the site. You will not be disappointed. We will book with Michelle again in the near future!

Porch chairs need replacing badly. The main floor couch, though inviting, finds one challenged to sit up. Same with game room. MBR chair is optimal. Wireless does not support streaming services well. Excellent kitchen, dining, stove, fridge, appliances. DR table with view very nice. Need to convert cleaning closet into pantry for guests supplies. Proximity to main road a little off putting. Bedrooms were spacious and clean. Bathrooms were modern and enjoyable.Down side

We loved our stay. The house was beautiful and cozy with all the right touches. We even got to see snow flurries, which from Floridians made our trip even that more special! The only smallest of complaints was the water pressure in the house but Michelle was on top of it and quickly tried to fix the problem. Overall A+ in my book! Thank you again for this amazing experience!
