Fantastic central location and lovely room

The room was lovely, and there's tea and coffee facilities in the room. The hotel is in a fantastic location for central Kandy, but still very quiet for sleeping at night. There's also an attached cafe downstairs, if you're feeling lazy and don't fancy venturing very far for food.

Considering that the room price did not include breakfast, it wasn't the best value for money compared to other places I stayed in Sri Lanka, and I also felt that the breakfast served in the cafe was not great quality or value for money - again, compared to other places I ate at.

It was a truly memorable experience and anyone wanting such an experience in Kandy should stay here!

The Aroma Inn is situated right in the middle of the Kandy Town amidst the busy streets. Among all the hustle and bustle of the streets and tiny side roads is this amazing hotel!! If you want to really "Feel" the vibe of Kandy Town you cannot find a better place. The rooms are spacious and clean and very beautifully decorated. So cosy and comfy! The bathroom was clean and spacious and all toiletries were provided. The restaurant was exceptional with an absolutely brilliant and varied menu and very reasonable too. The "English" breakfast was truly brilliant and included everything you would expect and more! My wife is particular about her food and does not eat anything an everything but the restaurant here had everything she craved for and she was really into the food provided! I have been to Kandy many times and stayed at many hotels including 5 star hotels but the Aroma Inn really blew me away and made me forget that 5 star hotels even exist as we were given 5 star treatment from beginning to end!! Such a wonderful welcome and staff go out of their way to ensure all your needs are met and more. I was on my honeymoon and our stay at Aroma Inn added to our special unforgettable memories!!

Great place to stay in Kandy, very good breakfast

+ Staff very friendly and helpful + location very good + breakfast. It was amazing, we had the english breakfast and it had a lot of variety like 3 fruit types, bread, cake, even one small pancake

Good location and very professional staff

The rooms look much better in the pictures. There are stains on the walls, the rooms are very dark, the furniture has many scratches ... in general it just feels very old.

Location is good. Bed was comfortable.

I could not sleep well. Room door has a transparent glass. What is the point of that? The light comes from corridor made the room day during night. Also, staff made noise during night and early morning.

location was very good. hotel was clean. room was clean. staff friendly. food was nice.

unfortunately the room i was in RM101 the air con was not effective in cooling the room. theres a back up generator so when power goes out it comes on straight away, unfortunately room 101 where i was is right next to the generator so it was not a good thing. any other room would have been fine

Room was very clean and staff was friendly and cheerful. Meals were delicious. Located in walking distance to Sri Dalada Maligawa.

AC was not working in optimal condition. Even though free Wifi was allowed the speed was not even enough to load a youtube video.

Great location and facilities.

The location is great, in the center of Kandy (10 minutes walking to the Buda’s teeth temple). The restaurant is just downstairs and the food is good. Staff really helpful.

Parking and traffic in Kandy is horrible, so going with your own vehicle may be stressful .

Good place to stay

Really good place to stay in the middle of the kandy city. Check in and out process was really easy and friendly. Got a good room service from pradeep and other staff. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Pleasant

Perfect location of anyone taking the train to Kandy, since it is located right in the center of the city and walking distance to the Temple and all Restaurants and shops. The rooms are a bit small but clean and comfortable. Value for money. There is also a restaurant/cafe downstairs. The restaurant staff were extremely pleasant and helpful

1. Since the rooms are close to the walkway, you can hear people walking and talking on the walk way. 2. Staff at the reception were extremely rigid and not flexible at all. The total amount stated by Booking.com was 7929 (with all taxes included - image attached). However, the guy at the reception charged us 8700 saying that the Booking.com amount did not include taxes. We paid this without making an issue. 3. Then the guy came back again and informed that the Booking did not mention our kid (3 year old) and that they will have to charge us 1,000 extra. However, when I put the Booking again with a child of 3 years old there was no additional charge. So we refused to pay the extra charge, which they unwillingly agreed to. 4. Check out time was 11.00am and since our train back to Colombo was at 4.50pm we requested if we could have a late check out, because of the kid, for which they at once said is not possible without even checking. If the service of the staff at the reception improves would definitely recommend to anyone.

I will not come back to this hotel,I paid for semi deluxe room but felt like in a basement.

The bed itself was very comfortable. we got free breakfast as a compensation

The room was very small,next do the engine room (could smell the petrol in the room),view to the elevator and wall.We didn't have dark in the room because of the lights from the restaurant and it was really annoyng.wifi was not working at all and the ac was very very loud (probably something was broken).

Good value for money is the only positive, at the most this is passable. Location is central but noisy.

Ran down, not very clean, soiled rug, moldy shower curtain. How this can be 8.2 beats me, it is at the most passable.

The food is excellent. room Amenities very good.

I'm not happy with the tv channels. Most of the sports channels has been blocked. Staff not able to open the TV channel that I requested. Internet all so very bad.
