Wanted something for one night near Lassen Volcanic National Park and this was a good price. On the road about 8 miles from Chester. A little bit on it's own but nicely decorated in a modern minimal style. Huge room with lovely modern bathroom. You can get snacks and drinks delivered to your room but we drove to Chester for a meal. There's no office but they send you a key code before arrival and getting the key was very easy. The whole building looks like it could be a work in progress but it's good for an overnight stay.
The room was a bit bare for my taste and the motel is a bit on it's own.

The view from the back of the building is phenomenal! The mountains and trees in the distance are beautiful, and the area is so secluded from the loud sounds of a city. Loved the sound of running water from both the fountain they have and the creek that runs through the backyard of the property. And they have a fire pit available for use, which was our favorite part! Amazing place to stay if you enjoy nature especially.
We loved everything and have no complaints. Although the place looks a bit run down from the outside, the inside is completely renovated and very nice. The man and woman who bought it about 5 years ago (and are incredibly hospitable) are chipping away at different plans/updates, etc. based on our conversation, and we look forward to potentially returning in the future and seeing what they've done with the place!
