Although the hotel was historic, it had been superbly modernised and was very stylish. The breakfast was good and the owner extremely friendly. The views of Pau from the hotel were stunning. Everywhere was immaculately clean and the shower was luxurious.
The road up to the hotel was steep, narrow and potholed. It would be tricky in the dark or in wet conditions.

Ok, real talk: lovely room and bathroom. Exceptionally comfortable. Ability to use the property kitchen in its entirety.
It’s really secluded and there’s and emptiness feeling that made our stay feel cold. The security felt more laissez faire than was comfortable. I think anyone could have walked into the property. I would only stay here again if I rented out the entire place for a big group of friends and family.
