Excellent place to stay at a great price. The whole process was very smooth and the pub was nice. Couldn’t fault the room. Comfortable, pleasant room with good facilities.
The Wi-Fi took a bit of time to kick into life but was fine once it did.

We booked 2 king size double rooms so that we could attend a family Golden Wedding Anniversary within tube and walking distance. We were only there over the weekend.
The rooms were clean and spacious with a big walk-in ensuite shower room. Towels and toileteries were provided
Coffee and tea making facilities were provided in the rooms with a generous sized kettle and generous proper cup and saucer size too, with real stainless steel teaspoons +++
Other members of our family were also staying there at the same time as us
As we had booked ahead, we were also able to get a generous discount off drinks and their pizza menu.
We were on the 2nd floor and there isn't a lift but we knew this prior to booking
If you want a very early start, breakfast isn't provided until later in the morning, when the bar opens, but there are various cafes and restaurants close by, a few minutes walk away on, which provide generous breakfast/lunch and evening meal options, we would recommend the Bengal bistro for the evening meal they accomodated our family group of 14 in their downstairs room, after making a booking at short notice. Its TYOP with a small corkage charge but the food is absolutley wonderful with vegan options too.
The Woodman sells their pizzas from 11:00 to 23:00, pub closing time, which several of our party tried, after walking to Wimbledon Common and doing the park run!
The only thing we found concerning, hence the 9 score, was that velux window blind in our double the bedroon was taped with gaffer tape and as my husband got up to fill the kettle on the Saturday morning, the gaffer tape, holding the blind, sprang off with a loud bang and hit him in on the nose!
He was none the worse for wear except for a bit of a scratch on the bridge of his nose which required application of tissues for a few seconds to stem the blood flow!
The window issue was remedied when we got back to our room late on the Saturday evening and there was no evidence of any gaffer tape to be seen and the blind was back in it's original housing!
The other old chestnut that keeps appearing on reviews is the stains on the carpeted area on the stairs and corridors to the rooms. The stairs do have some stains where people have obviously put down bottles and and cans, for whatever reason whilst the pub was just a pub,
However in the rooms the carpets are fine the beds are comfortable and the price for an overnight stay in two king size double rooms is exceptional particularly being so close to Wimbledon Park, Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Club, and Wimbledon Common!!!
There is no parking available but over the weekend there is free parking after 3 pm on certain roads close to the Woodman.
We would definitely stay there again and we would recommend others to do the same. The staff are extremely helpful and polite and we felt very well looked after.
