it was beautifully done and homely, with a ground floor lounge offering fruit, crisps, tea, and fridge drinks, plus antique style furniture that made each room feel bespoke. I stayed for a nearby party, could easily walk into town, enjoyed the bench outside while waiting for my early taxi, and the host was brilliant, communicative, helped me arrange a taxi, called to say my room was ready early, and made self check in relaxed and easy.

Very good location for walking around Stamford. Lovely quirky property! Gemma was very friendly and also left goodies such as crisps, Prosecco, milk, biscuits and fruit which was very generous.
The only thing that would make it better for me would be if guests had access to a toaster and microwave, along with bowls, plates and cutlery etc so that they could do their own breakfast in the cottage, rather than having to go out.

Beautiful room, spotlessly clean, generous host, lovely dining room with snacks and drinks, great location in middle of Stamford.
In the dining room there was packets of crisps to help yourself to, as well as beers, wine, prosecco and spirits. There was also a pack of biscuits in our room and some good quality toiletries. A very generous offer with a very reasonable nightly rate.
Room is quite small and lots of big furniture in small space does feel a little cramped (bit tricky to manoeuvre through the room as tight spaces) but honestly a really beautiful room and super clean.

Location was great - a short walk from Stamford centre and directly opposite a car park. Good WiFi and big range of TV. Easy to find. Good communication from host.
Our overall thought was that, for the price charged, the facilities should have been more generous. The bedrooms seemed slightly small and, despite the existence of a dining room with a fridge, little thought had been given to what customers might actually want. It would have been thoughtful to have some self-service breakfast on offer (cereals, milk, tea, coffee, fruit). A little bit extra goes a long way to delight customers.
