Wonderful resort. Every single staff I met was friendly and helpful. The facilities were outstanding and beyond what I imagined. The restaurants were all very good and while the resort was expensive, I felt that it was well worth the cost.
The nature lodge rooms I booked were away from the main lodge, which was fine. But when it rained, it was not that convenient. Also, did not get much info about the restaurants before arriving. Even when I emailed the restaurant reservation, I did not receive any reply.

Das Hotel ist zwar in einer abgelegenen Gegend, aber dafür sehr ruhig und mit Blick auf die wunderbaren Allgäuer Alpen. Das Hotel 5S entspricht seinen Vorgaben und kann dieses auch nur weiterempfehlen. Top Haus mit Top Mitarbeitern und Top Zimmern, Wellnessbereiche, Badeteiche, Sauna, Shops, Restaurants und Terrassen, alles TOP! Bin zwar schon viel gereist, aber das Sonnenalp Hotel gehört zu einem der besten Hotels in denen ich bis jetzt logiert und gewohnt habe. Es ist unglaublich, so ein privates Hotel in so einer Größenordnung zu führen und kann der Eigentümerfamilie Fäßler nur gratulieren.
Ein bisschen ein Nachteil sind auf Grund der Größenordnung des Hotel die langen Gehwege zu den Restaurants, aber ein bisschen Bewegung schadet ja nicht....

Besonders gefällt mir immer die tolle Atmosphäre. Einfach ankommen, sich wohlfühlen, denn es wird sich um alles gekümmert - sei es das Parken des Autos, das Gepäck holen oder ein Erfrischungsgetränk zu bekommen.
Der Spa - Bereich ist super schön, tip tip sauber, angenehm zu erreichen und einfach zum Wohlfühlen und Entspannen.
Die organisierte Wanderung mit einem einheimischen Wanderführer hat mir sehr gefallen!!!

This is one of the one of the hotels that we love and my husband’s family is was a loyal customer since years. So we know the hotel very well. Unfortunately this time the room wasn’t that beautiful according the price we paid. The “renovated” bath was extremely small and the shower was terrible. It was on a standard of a 3-star hotel. The pillows were so uncomfortable. The sheets and the blankets were wrinkled. When they set up the sofa bed the furniture just moved unorganized and the decorative pillows were left on the floor. Therefore our stay wasn’t that pleasant and comfortable according to our other stays. We had to change our room type so we paid extra of 235€ for each night which was so overrated.
