Absolutely one of the most beautiful, peaceful, friendly, and comfortable places I have ever stayed.
This small boutique hotel on the north coast of Penida Island offers oceanfront rooms and suites (the main difference being a separate bath and shower, plus an awesome high ceiling in the suites) set alongside a stunning pool right on the beach—any closer and you would be in the water. The view across the ocean looks out to mainland Bali, and on a clear day, you can see Mount Agung. The gardens are stunning and wonderfully tropical. The rooms are well-equipped and beautifully designed with traditional wood and gorgeous sea-blue accents. There is absolutely no compromise on bed comfort and quality here.
The small restaurant does a brilliant job catering to all needs. The meals are nothing short of exceptional—made with fresh ingredients, freshly prepared, and filled with flavor. You get lots of incredibly fresh, tasty fruit at breakfast, and their very unique "nachos" are definitely worth a try!
While the oceanfront is tidal, it offers a most exceptional snorkeling experience. If you can manage a short swim over the reef, it puts you right into one of the most amazing natural aquariums I have ever seen.
BUT—what truly makes this resort stand out, and is by far its heartbeat and soul, is the staff. We stayed for four nights, and I can honestly say I was sad to leave these beautiful people. From the maintenance and housekeeping teams to the restaurant staff and reception, every single person went out of their way to make our stay our best one ever.

Für uns perfekt: kleine Anlage direkt am Strand, ruhig gelegen, wunderschöner Blick. Einfach schön.

The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and clean with a beautiful setting and view.
The staff were under trained, not easy to communicate with, often difficult to find someone to assist. No iniative taken, if they see you sitting by the pool they don't offer you a menu or drink. Management of the staff was poor it seems.
The flies! Not sure if it was the time of year we went (December) but there were sooo many! Makes the stay quite unpleasant and ordering food just off-putting.
The trash pile as you drive into the hotel's driveway is also terrible and something should be done about it. Our first impression driving in was not a good one and we considered canceling our stay on arrival. Sure it does not help with the fly situation either.
For the beautiful location, the hotel does not offer any sort of activities, not even a set of mask and snorkel. They out source it from somewhere else which takes a while to organize.
Overall a beautiful hotel that could be so much more!
