Nice view, good facility
The staff who checked us in was very kind, and we truly appreciated that.
However, before our arrival, our family faced an emergency situation. One of our family members had to undergo an emergency operation at a hospital in Japan, which made it very difficult for us to arrive as planned. We contacted the accommodation to ask about changing the date, canceling the reservation, or reducing the number of guests, but unfortunately none of these options were allowed, and no adjustment or discount was offered. As a result, we still had to proceed with the stay even though one of us was not in good condition, which caused a great deal of stress for our family.
I have been working in the hotel industry in Japan for many years, and this was honestly the first time I experienced an accommodation that showed so little empathy toward a guest’s medical emergency. Even though the accommodation itself was very good, I was deeply disappointed by the response from the owner or management. In situations like this, a more understanding and flexible approach would have made a significant difference.
