Our family of 6 found this home to be a lovely getaway with beautiful views from the vaulted ceiling living room, master suite and screened in porch. The house is equipped with a great kitchen that we all enjoyed cooking in! The amenities provided are well thought out. We especially enjoyed the gas fireplace and record player! The beds were very comfy too!! The remote location invites you to appreciate nature in all its beauty…stars and the full moon took our breath away and the bay beach is a few steps away! We will return to this new found treasure! Thank you , Julie for being a perfect host!

A short winter stay at this wonderful retreat satisfied all of our needs. The house layout was extremely comfortable, with the large bay windows providing a glorious overview of the marshlands, eagles, and foxes. The decor was a lovely kickback to the 60s with special touches from the owners. The kitchen area was a Mecca for food and drink and as a hangout. Although we were there in winter, I would highly recommend this venue any time of year.

The communication with the host was easy and fast. The toys and pack and play made packing easier with 3 kids. The layout of the house and views all around were great. We love to cook and this kitchen was a dream and well stocked. The house was clean and plenty of room for a family of 5.

This rental was amazing. The views and sunsets were spectacular; the house was beautiful; the walks on the beach were relaxing. The owners of this house really know how to take care of their renters -- everything you can think of was considered from simple things like extra hooks to hang towels and coats on to the kitchen that had everything we could need (no more only one knife and one pot like other rentals!). The house was immaculate as everything looked new, clean and was comfortable, especially the beds. We will definitely back to this gem on the Delaware Bay!

We had an amazing time. The location is serene and the host did an amazing job decorating the home and staying in contact which made us feel comfortable, connected, and safe. We had a group of ladies from 30-60+. Seeing the sunset, having a drink, and gathering by the fireplace created an opportunity for openness that could used for teens as well. We saw people within the community walking their dogs/puppies and they were considerate in giving the dog commands to sit and allowed us to pet their animals. I believe that is what makes a great and respectful community. The host had everything you need to cook in, go outside, or create a fire pit. I could continue to go on and on, but the bottom line is - stay on Shore Drive and you/your family will enjoy yourself! I can’t wait to go back.

The owner could not be more pleasant and accommodating - she was so responsive! The check-in and check-out procedures were easy and quick. The house was spotlessly clean and had a lovely porch that overlooks the refuge. The beach is very close and easy to access across the street and a few doors down. It unfortunately had a lot of seaweed and horseshoe crab shells due to a hurricane that happened right before we arrived but that is of course unpredictable - can't control the weather. For better weather, the owner provides beach chairs, beach towels, inflatable kayaks, and beach toys. The beds were very comfortable; the kitchen has the pans, pots, plates, glassware, coffee maker - anything you need really to make your meals. The bathrooms were very clean. Washer and dryer available for use. The weather for us was very windy and sometimes not conducive for outdoor activities but there are plenty of nearby places to visit if, like us, you happen to plan for the weekend after a big storm. We had a great time despite the weather and would love to go back to really enjoy the nearby beach. The house is lovely and had plenty of room for us. It is as described and the owner is very helpful.

We really enjoyed this home! Julie's attention to detail with amazing cotton sheets, absorbent large bath towels and a well-equipped, labeled kitchen made our stay so much easier. The knives were sharp and the non-stick pans were actually non-stick. The beds and couches were very comfy. And the sunsets...breathtaking! This is a roomy, well-equipped house in a quiet setting perfect for us to have time with family. I would give more than 5 stars! Also the kitchen island was a bit hit!!!!!
