This was a perfect stop on the Kumano Kodo for the six of us. Ike, the owner, is super helpful, getting our shoes and clothes dried (there was a lot of rain on the trail!). The food was amazing, Ike's mother cooks and she used to be a cooking teacher so it was very authentic and delicious. It was lovely to eat with the other guests and chat with them. The rooms and facilities were great, the bus left from right outside and there was a little convenience store to get supplies.
The bed was a little soft, but that was about it! Everything was fabulous, and Ike was the most generous and helpful host. Chikatsuyu is a gorgeous little town as well :)

The host is extremely kind and entertaining. Dinner, breakfast and lunch were prepared by the host and his family and were absplutely delicious (be prepared for some local japanese delicacies!)
The spot is great for hikers on the Kumano Kodo.

Everything the owner is very nice, the food was amazing, the room very big. They even put dried my shoes !
