The location is convenient for the Kumano Kodo. It’s actually located in Chikatsuyu. Got the option for the bento boxes for food as there isn’t much close by.
Hard to find the location. The owner gave me directions but which path to take down from the statue was not clear.

Very friendly host!
Breakfast included. You eat this at a cafe nearby (near the bus stop)
You can ask for Bento for dinner and a lunchbox for the next day as well. Both = 1.500 yen.
Shower & toilet basic but hygienic
You have free cold water, coffee and tea.
Small breakfast, especially when you have to go hiking (1 toast, bit if yoghurt en some fruit)
Hard bed.

Very welcoming owner, regardless of the language barrier it was clear she tried everything to help us. Very clean, measured utilities, and good dinner.
The athmosphere and the price. Rooms were very outdated, and while the owner tried everything to make us more comfortable, the place felt like it was worth half of the money compared to other accommodations we had in Japan.
