This place truly felt like a home away from home. The house was extremely comfortable, and the hostess was one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I have ever met. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
I encountered heavy rain during my first day hiking the Kumano Kodo, but this accommodation had absolutely everything I needed to recover and prepare for the next day, including a washing machine, dryer, shoe dryer, massage chair, and many other thoughtful amenities. There was also plenty of snacks and drinks available, which I really appreciated.
The meals were delicious, and the lunch box prepared for the following day was a tremendous help during my hike.
What touched me the most was what happened the next morning. I accidentally left my trekking pole behind when checking out. The hostess quickly contacted me and even went out of her way to deliver it to my starting point. I was incredibly moved by her kindness and thoughtfulness. Thanks to her, I was able to start my second day of hiking fully prepared.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Both the house and the hostess are incredibly warm and welcoming. It was much more than just a place to stay — it felt like being taken care of by family.
Thank you so much for making my Kumano Kodo journey even more special. I will never forget your kindness!

The hospitality and meals were exceptional. The view was lovely and there was a great swimming hole nearby.
