Everything!
The dining set-up for in-room breakfast is not ideal, as the lounge chair and table height make it difficult to dine comfortably.

Views, nature hikes, comfortable room and nice amenities, beautiful establishment, snacks/wine in our room for honeymoon
General service of staff members was poor - they were very indifferent, reactive, and unprofessional/not attentive. They lacked good communication skills - We were woken up at 6:20 by emergency headlight alarms in our room and received no notice until we reached out to them directly an hour later and then were met with a simple "sorry about that". We ordered room service and it didn't arrive until after we called the lodge 1 hour later asking about the status of our food, and it was dropped off abruptly with no apology. Rooms were not cleaned every day even though we requested it, showing lack of care and attentiveness. Staff did not have proper first aid kit when needed.

The location is fabulous. Quiet, scenic, Close to a nice beach and lots of good hiking, and fun spots nearby like Gualala and Point Arena. Food at Sea ranch is good too, but overpriced and not many dinner options if you aren't able to get a reservation at the lodge.
Our shower was disgusting, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Also, our shower didn't drain so we had to shower in ankle deep water each night. We asked the front desk to have the shower drain fixed, but I'm not sure anyone did anything because it still wasn't draining properly after maintenance.. In our other room, there was no hot water in the shower in the mornings, and this was never resolved either.
The staff isnt very helpful and neither is their text concierge service. There isnt any front desk service after 7pm and if your room needs maintenance, better notify the front desk before 5pm, because after that you're out of luck. The front desk desk and text concierge did bare minimum to help with any of our shower issues and we certainly were not compensated in any way for the inconveniences we experienced.
Food is overpriced and not many dinner options If you aren't able to get a reservation at the lodge.
