The location was excellent for central London and the staff were very nice. The decoration was quite nice and it was great to have a tea tray and to be upgraded to a room with a city view. The mattress was perfect for me and I slept well.
The walls were thin and one night I had a very noisy neighbour - I could hear the tv and conversations in my room.
Although the decoration was nice, some of the finishing touches really lacked style - like a wall clock that lit up in the dark.

We had a balcony room facing a beautiful mural.
The receptionist was helpful taking bags to our rooms and welcoming us as soon as we walked in.
Great location with the Stepney green translation within 5 minute walk.
Very secure premises in a safe area.
The area is close to uni student accomodation.
There is also a few shops for bits and pieces (convenience stores) if needed.. open late!
Minimal noise at night felt very safe here!
Breakfast and dinner at half moon bar down the road by train station is great value.. with bottomless coffee!!!
Shared bathroom was always clean and tidy. We were in a pod of maybe 5? Rooms, just get your timing right for showers and you'll be fine.
No complaints here, enjoyed our stay

We had a really pleasant stay! The staff and owner were incredibly kind, welcoming and always available to help whenever we needed anything. The room was exactly as expected, clean and comfortable. The balcony was a lovely surprise, very spacious and beautiful. Overall, a great experience and we would definitely recommend this place. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!
The only small things I would suggest improving are the bed, which was a little too firm for our liking, and adding a couple of chairs and a small table to the balcony to make the most of such a beautiful and spacious outdoor area.

Good location, not too far from Bethnal Green tube station for easy access to the City on the Central Line (just one stop to Liverpool Street, two to Bank). The hotel is very secure, the bedroom quite stylish and clearly a cut above other similar-priced hotels in the area. There was even a balcony. The hotel also has a lift, which is unique in my experience of similar hotels in the area. The bedroom was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable.
I'm not keen on remote access hotels. I appreciate that having no staff on site keeps the cost down, and the lady I spoke to on the phone was polite and helpful, but it's a bit of a faff standing outside a locked door and having to WhatsApp a photo of your passport in order to be allowed in. However, I realise that this is largely a personal preference, so this is not a criticism per se.
Unfortunately, the tiny en-suite bathroom, while very clean, did not smell too good. There was a faint but constant smell of drains. I kept the bathroom door shut and left the extractor fan on, which stopped the smell reaching the bedroom, but those with weak stomachs may be advised to avoid room 306. I would have said something to the hotel staff at the time, but, as noted above, there are no staff on site.
