Located in Iowa, this attractive house for $399 per night is a great choice for your next break. Welcome to WestAway! Get away from it all in this 4 bedroom (2-king and 2-queen), 4.5 bath home. Our home has many updates from the kitchen, bedrooms/bathrooms, flooring, and decking . Excellent location found in the resort core between the North and South golf courses-close to walking paths. WestAway is an open floor plan. Some featured highlights are remodeled main level powder room with plank board accent wall, carpet in family room, flooring , built in table that connects the family room to the kitchen, stainless steel appliances including a double oven, quartz counter tops, working island, and FULLY stocked for all your cooking needs (take a look at what guests are saying in their reviews!)! "This is better than our own kitchen at home!" Enjoy mornings with a cup of coffee in front of the stone, gas fireplace or on one of our porches. Play cards at the kitchen table while still engaged in conversation with those in the kitchen and family room. The family room includes a 60" flat screen tv. Need a little private time? The loft offers a quiet place for socializing, reading and relaxing. There is also a family gathering space in the lower level with a 55" flat screen TV along with a Foosball table. A queen sofa sleeper is available for those extra guests. You'll get beautiful views of nature from the screened in porch located on the main level deck or relax your muscles in our covered hot tub on the lower deck overlooking a nature-filled back yard. We provide 10 proximity cards for your stay! Enjoy Access to the GTA Owners Club while staying with us. The indoor pool is open year-round and the outdoor pool is open Memorial Day - Labor Day. The club is an exclusive amenity that can be used by only Galena Territory property owners and their guests. The Owner's Club includes an indoor swimming pool, outdoor swimming pool w/slides, a kiddie pool, fitness room, game room, indoor/outdoor basketball courts, tennis courts and seasonal snack bar. Don't forget to visit Lake Galena, The Shenandoah Riding Center and hiking trails throughout the 6,800-acre property. Please remember usage of the amenities is never guaranteed. We do not discount or refund due their closure. When you book a home with us we will require 30% down, this is a payment not a deposit. The full balance is due 14 days prior to check in. If you cancel prior to the 14 days, you will receive the first payment less a $35 cancellation fee. At the 14 day mark your stay will become non-refundable and dates cannot be adjusted. Your payments will automatically be processed to the card you place on file at the time of booking. Your rental agreement (sent after booking) will reflect the due dates and amounts. Please Note: You will be required to sign an electronic rental agreement at the time of booking, we ask this be signed and filed within 48 hours of receiving to guarantee your reservation. You must be 25 or older at the time of booking. Please Note - there are no exceptions to our cancellation policy-we highly recommend travel insurance. Check in details are emailed to you 3 days prior to arrival. This includes the home's address, the access code and other home/area information. Early check in is not available from June-Oct. When available it cannot be considered until the night before or morning of your arrival and is NEVER guaranteed. The check in details will cover this process.

Every year my husband and I do a New Years Eve Brunch. This year we decided to host our event away from home. The Westway home was everything and more. The house did not disappoint. The home is very cozy. The kitchen is very spacious and the quartz table seats 10 people. The quartz table is where we spent a bulk of our time eating and playing games with family and friends. Everyone ❤️ the house. Just an FYI, the down stairs bedroom was cooler than the rest of the house. My sister enjoyed this room because she likes her room cool. The family room was very inviting and we loved the fireplace. The loft is an added bonus to this amazing home. Don't take my word, book the Westway and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed!! We will definitely book this house again!

1968 classmates/besties had a wonderful time shopping, sampling, and enjoying the beauty of our surroundings. This home and lovely setting was just perfect for our foursome. Great kitchen, loved the antique pieces used practically and as decor! Next to it is the spacious living room where we caught up on the Olympics and watched the KC Royals/White Sox!!!! We each enjoyed our own bed and bathroom, lovely landscaping, and watching for our little fox on the road mornings and evenings, and seeing a big fox go across our parking the last morning! There is something for everyone in the territories and we highly recommend this property! Would definitely stay again,. Thank you Patrick and Patti !!

Beautiful house and the most well appointed/stocked rental I have used. Some of the highlights for me were the coffee bar and soaker tub. I am big on aesthetics and this house is easy on the eyes top to bottom. Beautiful location outside of town.

For the last seven years we have traveled to different locations to golf with three other couples. Everyone loved this house and It was agreed by all of us that this was by far one of the nicest places we have stayed. We had everything we needed and the fact that each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom was great!! The beds were extremely comfortable. We would highly recommend this property and we will definitely rent this home again when we return to Galena. It was a wonderful weekend! Wish we could have stayed longer - hopefully next time.

Great house for those doing a bit of skiing or winter activities. Plenty of room and great space to eat, hang out, play games, etc. Everything was easy to use and figure out. Hot tub was a great end of day treat.
Owners were super helpful in preparing and ensuring we had everything we need. We felt VERY welcome!

The home was spotless and I could tell the hosts were very detail oriented and thought of everything to allow us to feel as comfortable and at-home as possible. If you are looking to travel to Galena and need a wonderful home look no further - you have found it! Pat & Patti were wonderful to work with and their home is beautiful. With a baby, three children, and six adults we had ample space on all three levels and enjoyed wonderful sleeping arrangements in the comfortable beds. The kitchen is phenomenal and perfectly stocked for all your cooking needs. Patti & Pat have thought of everything you need to have an enjoyable stay - from the bag of beach towels for the pool, to the toiletries in each bathroom, to the food storage containers in the kitchen - the house is ready for you and your family to have an amazing stay and enjoy the beauty of the Galena Territory. The property location is close to everything and we enjoyed exploring the trails, golfing, and the Shenandoah Riding Center.
We look forward to coming back to Galena next year and staying at WestAway!

Most well stocked house I have ever rented (toiletries, coffee, spices, etc). Kitchen had everything you could need. Super clean and well decorated. Large table in main area great for games, cards, crafting. Having three levels of bedrooms and bathrooms made it great for those who want to stay up later and have privacy. The owners really thought of everything, would love to stay here again in summer to enjoy those decks and the peaceful forest it overlooks.

My husband and I have rented many homes through VRBO and this home was the best rental yet. First of all, the home is beautiful. The kitchen, dining, and living room are newly remodeled and very tastefully decorated. Second, there is so much space with the 4 bedrooms and bathrooms, not to mention the lower level living area and the loft.
Third, the outside space is great. Our week-end weather was close to 100 degrees so we did not use the hot tub or sit outside much, but we did use the screen porch. Fourth, the property owners have thought of so much to include with the rental: coffee, paper products, spices, beach towels, etc. It was the best stocked house. Andy lastly, the communication with the owners was precise and timely. Our group would love to come back again sometime. Thanks for sharing your home!

My mom and 2 sisters and I spent an extended weekend at Westaway and loved it! The house was wonderful with 4 bedrooms and 4.5 baths and everyone getting their own bed/bath combo. One bedroom is in the basement, the master is on the main level and 2 bedrooms upstairs. The updates were wonderful and amenities were plentiful. Pat and Patti were very responsive to every question I asked and anything we needed was already on hand. They thought of everything! This property is cozy and comfortable with great gathering spaces for friends and family. We can't wait to return!

Our party of 9 was absolutely shocked when we arrived at Westway! The house is stunning and charming. It was spotlessly clean, and stocked with everything you need. You can tell Pat and Patti (the owners) but a ton of time into making this house the perfect getaway for their guests. We loved the massive kitchen table/island. Perfect for a game night table. We can not wait to go back!

Pat and Patti have the most lovely home. It’s so tidy, clean and has everything you could want to relax, cook and get away. The screened in porch was a favorite of ours to have a few drinks, play some games with the kids. The kiddos and adults loved the hot tub and fooseball table, such a blast. The home is gorgeous and has plenty of room to be together or take some time to chill apart. We loved our stay and will definitely be back. Pat and Patti are great hosts, the best I’ve ever had in regards to details, follow up and care.

This is a wonderful property. We stayed with our children and 2 grandchildren over New Years and it was perfect! Lots of space for everyone. Each couple had their own large bedroom and large bath. Living space was roomy and comfortable with plenty of seating. Kitchen and bathrooms were completely equipped so we didn't have to go shopping for paper products or bath items. Kitchen had every appliance you could want and plenty of cookware. (even a cupboard with olive oil, syrup, spices!) Hot Tub was wonderful...you look out into the snowy woods! A plus was baby gates for the stairways!! I always leave Pros and Cons in my reviews.....We all agreed, couldn't come up with a Con!! Would HIGHLY recommend this property...you won't be disappointed!

This property is perfect for a family setting. It is clean, comfortable, and has everything you could absolutely need during the stay. We used it as a physical distancing getaway and it was exactly what we needed. The beds are the most comfortable! And foosball and the hot tub for fun to be able to use too.

This weekend was amazing, the house was absolutely gorgeous and so perfect for our stay. We stayed for a long weekend (3 nights) in October. Mostly hung out at the house lounging around in the comfy chairs, so cozy with the fireplace and deck. The hot tub was a hit! Nice and big and perfectly maintained. Pat and Patti were always easily reachable, we even got to check in early on Thursday cause the house was ready. The dining room table was fantastic for dinners and games! My family and mom especially had a wonderful time. Beds and bathrooms were so clean and comfy! We loved the extra touch Pat and Patti put into to decorate the house for the season, super cute! Everything had directions and was so easy to navigate. Absolutely recommend, would come again for sure!

We booked this home first in 2020, but had to cancel due to Covid. This year we rebooted to celebrate a 50th birthday party. Wow, did this place live up to expectations, and then some. From the 4 bedrooms with each a bathroom, this was a group or couples dream. The AC was perfect, the shower pressure can blow your skin off (smile).. we really loved that-- and all the extra touches just made this house really feel like home. Pat and Patti were so easy to talk with and gave so many tips and suggestions for our stay that we have absolutely nothing but fond memories. It was tough to leave this beautiful home nestled in Galena. Oh, forgot to mention the Owners Club.. that was AMAZING!! Pool tables, fully equipped gym, indoor lap pool, outdoor pools and food/Cafe.. made for a perfect Friday afternoon. Thanks a million!!

We had a blast here! The house is just lovely. I loved the decorating talents of Pat and Patti. Their attention to detail was excellent. The kitchen was stocked with everything you needed to prepare meals with and entertain. The beds were super comfortable, the bathrooms were very clean and there was a lot to entertain yourself in this house alone; a hot tub, foosball table, fire pit, etc. It was conveniently located near several fun things to do in Galena, too. We definitely made the most of our weekend getaway.
Lastly, Pat and Patti are superb hosts. They were timely in communication and the ease of checking in and checking out was so convenient. They even left us a welcome gift. :)
I would certainly rent this house again.

We had a great time. We visit the Galena area at least twice a year with a group of family and friends and this has been our favorite rental property to date. It was beautiful, clean, and well stocked with basic kitchen items and toiletries. The screened in porch and deck were perfect for enjoying the outdoors. We had two young children with our group and the house was better soundproofed than most houses we have stayed in. The little ones were able to sleep through adults walking around during nap and bedtimes. Will definitely be back in the future!

We had read the 5 star comments one after the other and now totally understand!! I've rented houses for several groups of Girls' Weekends before but WestAway really beats them all! Any moment we thought some element was missing, we found it and then some! The bath towels felt like blankets. Great showers with LOTS of hot water for all of us.....immediately. Coffee, spices, kitchen needs, hostess basket, easy access in and out, quiet and beautiful surroundings, picture-perfect decorating.....not a THING was missing!
Our time together didn't give us a chance to enjoy the fire pit or hot tub and it was a little cool still for the screened in porch but we will make sure to use them next time and there most definitely will be a next time!
Pat and Patti were awesome hosts (we used that word over and over all weekend)! Downtown Galena only minutes away. The luxury of 4.5 baths will make any future houses somewhere else not live up to WestAway.
This is a perfect house for a Girls' Weekend, extended families or even several couples. Plenty of room without tripping over one another and the extended kitchen island with very comfortable seating for 10 allowed us the time to relax and visit that we were looking for.
Our next visit can't come soon enough!!

We have been doing adult family get-a-aways to The Galena Territory for years and have never encountered a home as well equipped and as welcoming as this one. Anything you could need for cooking, including spices, is available, the home is furnished very tastefully, it was very clean upon our arrival and you actually feel like you are staying in someones home not just a rental unit. It is the nicest home we have stayed at in The Territory and one that we will want to keep going back to. Cannot say enough good thing about it

We have enjoyed this beautiful home , It felt like our home, cozy and relaxing. We like to prepare our own food and have enjoyed the full equipped kitchen, Pat and Patti have thought of everything. I have to mention that the house was very clean and can’t forget to mention that beds are very very comfortable! Our kids have enjoyed the lover level and the adults loved the living area with the fireplace. It’s only few minutes from downtown Galena and Chestnut Mountain. If you are looking for a roomy and cozy place to stay than this is the right home for you. We definitely will go back.

We we’re lucky enough to spend 16 magnificent nights at Westaway in May of 2020. The title of my review says it all, the trip was pure heaven. From the minute we arrived, to the moment we left, we felt like we were at home there. So many wonderful things about this house; the cute coffee bar, the peaceful screened in porch, the relaxing hot tub, the beautiful forest it backs up to, just to name a few. The list could go on and on. Pat and Patti are the most wonderful hosts and they were helpful from the beginning to the end, always making sure we had what we needed. They have truly created a blissful hideaway in The Galena Territory that sticks out from all the rest. We cannot wait to get back to Westaway!!!
