Great value and and amazing job done by the host who is a local artist. Don't hesitate to book!

The location, whilst not in the center of town was perfect. If you are staying in a house this big you would most likely have a car and nothing is more than a few minutes away. On arrival you go down a driveway which has plants growing out of garden beds on the side, it really feels like you are entering your own little space. Once you get past this section, ignoring all the chimes from the cars radars, it opens into a large space with a double garage entered via two single doors. Getting the keys and entry is a breeze as the host gave clear and concise instructions. When you enter the house you are struck by the amazing artwork throughout, most if not all made by the host. I thought the decor was amazing and really well thought out. I actually had the discussion with my wife as to wondering if they were for sale I was so impressed. The bathrooms were well stocked and everything you could need, including a first aid kit, was in there. This is better than any motel/hotel I have ever stayed in for a family with kids and well worth the money. My kids loved the multitude of books they could read and all the age appropriate toys. There were so many toys and books that I wish we had taken a picture so I knew where to put them all when we left as my kids got EVERYTHING out. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils a family could need and even some other bits and bobs that you usually forget like aluminium foil. I could not find a bottle opener but I would not be an aussie if I did not take one with me so it was not a problem. I'm sure there would have been one but I did not find it. The attention to detail was noticeable even in the little things like the Moccona Indulgence Coffee instead of the cheap stuff you normally get given. I would add more but no space left :( I did my check with the local police on the area and was told it is a safe area which it was.

The neighbours were a bit noisy late at night, but it is a residential neighbourhood so I would not let that hold you back as motels and hotels are no different. When leaving the key is left under the mat and the renter is responsible for any liablilty for anything that should happen after they left. The host stated that it was difficult to get the key back in the key box. This was not something we were overly comfortable with but did anyway. It would be better if there was a better way to return the keys, even if it was a locked letterbox that you could put them in. There was alcohol left hidden behind blankets in the linen cupboard which I assumed (wrongly) that it had been left there by a previous guest. This was a lovely touch but nothing was in the welcome book about this and I only located it due to my young kids playing hide and seek. Completely not the hosts fault, but I have Autistic children and if my oldest (10) had found this without me knowing about it she would have snuck it into her room and drunk it, again not the fault of the host, but it would be nice if it had been mentioned in the welcome book so I could hide it before they found it. The address has evaporative airconditioning and no instructions on how to use it, I worked it out with the help of google but it would be good if there were better instructions in the welcome book as most places have climate control which is easier to use. The evaporative cooling worked perfectly well to cool the house down once I worked it out.
