The hotel has a convenient location, and we particularly appreciated the self-service laundry facilities, which were easy to use and affordable at €2.50. These were useful amenities during our travels.
We also appreciate that management responded professionally to our formal complaint after our stay, acknowledged that the problem had not been adequately resolved, and provided a €60 refund through Booking.com. The refund has already been credited to our account.
Unfortunately, our room (951) was excessively hot throughout the night, preventing my wife and me from sleeping properly.
We contacted reception and were instructed to turn off the thermostat and open the windows. We followed these instructions, but the room remained uncomfortably hot. Our request to change rooms was declined. A security staff member subsequently provided an electric fan and attempted to adjust the thermostat, but the problem remained unresolved.
Management later explained that the centralized climate control system had already been switched to heating mode for the season, making individual room cooling unavailable. We wish this limitation had been communicated more clearly and that a more effective solution had been offered.
We also encountered several maintenance concerns: a loose sink drain stopper, a slippery shower floor with a loose drain cover, and a bedside lamp that did not work.
Although we appreciate management's response and refund afterward, the experience was disappointing because we could not get adequate rest during our stay.
