Lovely cottage, just right for two with all the facilities you could want. The location is fantastic, couldn't be better placed for city attractions, restaurants and pubs, right next door to york minster 👍🙂
Be aware it's over three floors so many stairs. The bed is a little hard.

Very central and well equipped and comfortable. Greeted with a bottle of wine and very happy that it had Netflix and prime.
There was no parking directly outside although you could drop off luggage but was a carpark only a few minutes away. The property was on 3 levels kitchen on the ground and living space / bedroom above I would think anyone with mobility issues may find it to be a struggle .

Absolutely brilliant location right in the centre of the city. The apartment was magical, really quirky, and in a beautiful area of historical properties. We went for New Year's Eve, and although the weather was cold, it was lovely and warm inside with amazing views, and the Minster was literally next door . The kitchen had every utensil you would need, and there was a washing macine, hob, and oven. Lovely building with beams sensitively renovated.
You are on a ghost tour walk, so be prepared for a small crowd gathering in front of the property windows two or three times a night.
On entering the light in the passage did not work, making it difficult to see the stone steps when leaving. The kitchen was not very clean, with tea/food splashes on the sides of units, mucky dog paw prints on all the seats and the chair covers, dirty mugs, and dusty cupboards that stored bits of carpets and general junk. The draw in the bedroom was completely broken into shards of wood, with the other drawers being unusable because they had empty pill packets, nails, and screws and mess in them.
Unfortunately, the carpet was a bit wiffy,stained, and worn throughout the property with holes in it. Walls had food and tea splashes. The furniture was not antique nor shabby chic, just shabby, past its best, chipped missing bits, mismatched for this lovely period property, and a book case was propped up with rolled cardboard. The bathmat was past its best, and the shower ran freezing and then boiled hot with limited pressure. There was a lack of love and care generally, with no luxuries, no shower gels, no coffee machine, or coffee bags, no biscuits. Which was a shame as I have stayed in Wheelright properties previously, and there have been great little touches.
