La ubicación

The apartment’s location in the city is great. The beds are pretty comfortable. There is a washing machine. There is an AC unit in the sitting/TV area that keeps that part of the apartment cool.

The worst part of the property, and this is a huge safety concern, is the entry to the building and entry to apartment. I would NEVER stay here as a solo woman or group of women or if I were older. Anyone can access the entry and hall off the street. It is poorly/not at all lit and we had to use our phone flashlights to see the hall and door upon entry in the evening. There is garbage on the ground in the shared entry to the building and it smells. The restaurant next door stores their garbage in this shared entry. I asked the management company to be moved upon check in. They said they did not have other availability. I asked them to put a light bulb in outside the door twice and they did not do that over our 5 day stay. One day, my daughter and I came back to find a barefoot man putting on socks right outside the door. We turned around and left until my husband and son could walk us back in. Once inside the apartment, it is ok but not what it is advertised as in the pictures (which are clearly older as the butterfly art now consists of one butterfly and the bathroom is a totally different color). It feels worn and neglected. The rail in the stairs once in the apartment fell on us the first time we entered. The sliding door to one of the bedrooms is off the track and doesn’t close. There was a LOT of mold in the shower. The shower has very poor water pressure. The rugs were stained/dirty looking. The two bedrooms have cooling fans with water, but one of the fans’ pump doesn’t work so it really is just a fan. It could use some upkeep, better lighting for safety, and a more secure entry from the street. We made the most of our stay in Rome, but we would NEVER stay at this unit again. I would recommend looking elsewhere for the price. Dark picture attached is what the entry to apartment is like at night with our flashlights.
