The blankets were actually so comfortable it made getting up on our vacation very hard. The gentlemen who own/work there are very nice too. I didn’t use the kitchen but it looked very nice too. It was a very cute property too.
The walls are pretty thin and the metal bunkbed frames moved and squeaked a lot, it was hard to like shift in my sleep without waking up either myself or the person I shared the bed with. I think it’s an excellent building it’s very cute, it’s just there’s a heavier presence of people under the influence of substances in the general area during both day and night, but that’s not the NOX’s fault.

It was pretty good overall. I felt safe. The staff was lovely. The location was very good. I think all in all it was a good experience and the ease of arrival and departure was smooth. I enjoyed the quiet. I had all good sleeps except for only one night when a person kept pacing back and forth the hallway with luggage in the middle of the night going past my room. I had a nice time here and even had a good spot to study and work on some assignments from a course I visited Toronto for.
I have to shower every day, and it was not a good experience. I stayed 5 nights and all five showers were very awkward. Also, I was not offered more than one towel. I was too shy to ask for an extra towel. My room began to smell funny from the lack of airflow and a damp towel air-drying every morning. It was not a deal breaker as I was happy to have my private room.

You get what you pay for: a hostel-lke stay (you can have your own room) in a no frills, casual hostel. The rooms aren't big, so when you are with a group it can become crowded. Arguably it is more a budget hotel than a hostel.
What I didn't like is that, for some reason, you don't get daily fresh towels. According to the reception (owner I think) 'this is not how it happens' (quote / unquote). With the warm temperatures of summer a shower is almost mandatory, so this is a strange policy. Also the airco was loud, and cannot be controlled from the rooms themselves.
