The location is fantastic for being able to get buses inside the national park. The hosts were very friendly and helped us to plan out our walking routes each day!
It would be good to have a refillable water point.

Location Location Location! Frank (Li) was always very helpful in knowing the reverse routes for our stay in the park so we were able to avoid the crowds. There is a bus stop nearby that will pick up and drop you off to the viewing areas of Tianzi mountain or Yuanjiajie. My son loved the Tujia braised pork.
The shower drain was slow but they were able to fix the problem right away. There are shower slippers available if you did not bring your own.

The staff were amazing, helping plan the best route to explore the parks highlights in one day. Had virtually no waiting at anything. There is a restaurant on premises as well, and the pick up service is the best choice to arrive and leave.
The bed felt like a block of wood.

Alex was incredible and helped us plan an absolutely amazing few days in the park so that we could see absolutely everything we wanted to see! He also helped us switch plans last minute in order to spend a day at Tienman Mountain which included spending out last night at their sister hotel in Zhangjiajie which was lovely. Great location for exploring the park since it is the only accommodation within the park itself. However, that meant we couldn't leave after park closing hours or we would not be able to get back in, which I did not realize before our arrival. Food was basic but delicious. Tea from the plantation available at all times. Stay was good overall, but a bit too rustic for my mother.
Had some large bugs in the room (had to get rid of a few spiders and flying beetles) on our first day-assuming they leave the doors open when cleaning between guests and they get in that way. Have to pay for potable water, beds hard, and shower temperature luke warm.
