Opera house is the perfect stay in hiriketiya if you are looking for a super clean, quiet stay in a lush environment . we were simply amazed by nature and animals in the neighborhood . on rainy days monkeys come by looking for shelter and some .mornings they might even wake you up , strolling and running on the roof! we heard the call of peacocks and saw them performing their dance!
be aware that the house is surrounded by a large garden so there will be insects. it is perfectly normal but we were so happy to see fireflies at night!
the owner is a sweet , caring man and always available for anything that might come up or give you advice for tours / transport etc.
Room : comfortable beds and pillows - nice ample bathroom, essential wood furniture ( exactly like the pictures) , a/c and fan to keep you cool.
kitchen: perfect for the rainy days ! what do you do on a rainy day? cook sri lankan dishes with the owner and eat on the terrace !

The room and the house are very clean with a lot of light.
The owner is really nice and helpful.
It's in a very quite place with nature all around.
Breakfast was at time very basic.
There are no option nearby for the food

They offered a delicious breakfast every morning at no extra cost.
The host not only showed us a nearby temple but also shared its fascinating history with us.
The rooms were amazing, with air conditioning and a very comfortable setup.
